Hmmm, guess I'll be seeing mine in about a month, ordered Jan 2nd. I can't wait to get the rig on the figure. Should be getting it about the same time I get my head back from Josh (hopefully).

A little tip for people using Stevo's rigs. Don't leave the gun in the holster for too long of a stretch. I did that and it bonded to the leather effectively glueing it into the holster. Had a hell of a time getting it back out and it took some paint off the gun.

Interesting...I wonder if spraying some dulcote on the gun would fix that problem. Thanks for the heads up!

What body will you guys be using for Zoe and River?

For Zoe would you go with the new HT Cuban female or a Triad Toys Otaku? What happened to Triad EVA bodies why are those not available anymore from Triad, aren't they the newest bodies?

Then what is a good smaller body for River?

Yeah I hate the idea of using the female buck bodies. I wish SSC would release individual bodies like HT does, because Mal and Jayne definitely need something like tall Pro bods.

Both Triad's Omega and Day2Day's ATOModel (used for Go Hero's Buck Rogers and Executive Replicas' Karloff) are quite tall. I pre-ordered a blank ATOModel from Sideshow. I'm hoping it will size up alongside a TrueType to make Mal 6' and Jayne 6'4". We'll see what we see when it gets here. My Zoe is going on the TT Cuban. It doesn't balance like a Cy body, but then nothing does. It looks real.

Another thing you may want to try is some shoe polish or some kind of leather paste inside the holster. Since I believe he is using leather, if you use a polish inside, that should seal the leather and keep it from absorbing the paint. Another option would be the dullcote but MAKE SURE you let it COMPLETELY dry...Many paints take and sealant surface dry in a reasonable amount of time but to actually cure 100% can be up to a full week or two under normal circumstances.

Zoë should be 5' 10" and not particularly thin. HT bodies are thus way too short and the arms are rather frail too.

I am looking at adding height via the torso and legs, since both will be covered by her clothing. In fact lot of female customs that interest me need to be closer to 6 feet tall than 5 feet tall, like Starbuck, Jadzia Dax, Jean Grey and Ripley, so I really need a solution to this issue.

If the HT bodies are smaller they might work well for River, Kaylee and Inara.

I should hopefully have these coming in in a day or two, going to have to mod them.

I've got a hot toys body for Zoe, but I'm going to extend her legs to make her a bit taller, so the height isn't a problem for me, I much prefer the body over anything else I've seen, as it looks so much more realistic.

That is why the delay in Triad's EVA and EVO bodies sucks so much. The EVA has multiple bust sizes and the arms do not look like twigs. They would own HT in nude bodies if they could simply get the bodies to market after two years or however long it has been.

I own several Otakus and she is the same height as the HT female. Mine with head and heels is just at 11.5".
I too am anxiously waiting the new EVAs from Triad. I have 2 on preorder and from what I have been told(fingers crossed)the end of this month.....there have been many problems with the manufacturer products versus the specs Triad is looking for. With some of the issues people had with the Otaku bodies, I'm sure they want to work out ALL of the issues befrore releasing her.
Now...I know you have seen the new ALPHA bodies that are up for preorder at TRIAD. If not, you need to check them out.

Whenever I order from them it always takes forever. I still havent figured out what body Im going to use.
Did get the duster for Mal and it looks Stellar!

thanks for the info. do you recommend the otaku or is better to go with HT or even hold out a while for something better?
