Re: Trevor's Firefly Sculpts

Thanks Prog! The pants are from the SS Indy in German Disguise. For the stripes I dyed an iron-on patch, cut appropriate strips and ironed them on. The suspender buttons I salvaged off a military shirt and sowed onto what I gauged to be the right place.

Re: Trevor's Firefly Sculpts

cool. that material would look good for Zoe too, just ofcourse much tighter. :naughty

Re: Trevor's Firefly Sculpts

Your Mal looks amazing, MM! He looks great with those gloved hands, too. Where did you get them as well as the boots?

Re: Trevor's Firefly Sculpts

Thanks Proto! The gloves are actually DX joker hands repainted with acrylics and the boots are Newline Japanese Officer boots.

Re: Trevor's Firefly Sculpts

I got the sculpts in today, and they really are fantastic!

So detailed, and awesome in hand.

I just hope that the Zoe Head doesn't look too big, will have to wait and see when my HT Body comes

Re: Trevor's Firefly Sculpts

Hey folks-

Good news!

Last weekend I made a mold of one of my Mal castings, and it turned out nicely. I'm happy with the castings this new mold is producing, so I'll be continuing to offer casts.

In the next few days I'll post photos so everyone can see the new castings. There is a slight size variation, but I'm not displeased with it. I'm just thrilled I'll be able to continue offering them. It's either these new ones, or nothing, as my first generation molds (of Mal) are all spent. :)

In a week or so I'll begin contacting people on the list again.

More in a few days, and thank you all for being patient. This is a tough thing to fit into an already full schedule, and I appreciate you all understanding.

Re: Trevor's Firefly Sculpts

Is it still possible to get a Mal head? I'm a newbie, so not quite sure how this all works. Thanks.

*phew!*

Great news Trev! Thanks for going that extra mile and doing all this! I'm sure everyone appreciates it! I sure do.

Now I can do a little more work on my Mal... I kinda paused there waiting for some news.

Re: Trevor's Firefly Sculpts

I've got my Zoe on the HT Cuban body, and it looks GREAT.

It's the perfect body for her, so if anyone is still looking for a body for Zoe, I'd suggest that.

Good news?! AWESOME NEWS! I can get back to gathering goodies for these!

:fireworks

Also, how can we make sure we're still on your list? I really don't want to miss out...

And thank you for all your hard work Trev.

Re: Trevor's Firefly Sculpts

Feel free to drop me a line to see if you're on the list. No problem!

I'll probably be capping it off soon, as it's already a lot to handle.
thanks!

If Trevor wants his email posted here, he'll have to do it himself. Otherwise I'll have to delete it.

Here are a few pix of my Mal and Jayne waiting for thier heads:

As you can see I've used Stevo's belt, knife, sheath and wrist band. The pistol is also from Stevo. The shirt is from Hot Toys Wild Ones Brando. I painted the glossy pistol grips with dullcoat to kill the shine. I used The Comidian's gloved hands, but the cuffs on the gloves are a little to long and force the wrist band too far up his arm. Need to do some work there.

As you can see, I used SMcG's coat. It's the best one out ther. I wasn't to crazy about the clasps on coat, so I made some up out of 6mm jump rings and brass stock. If you look close you will see the clasps. Reworked Stevo's holster and bun belt with brown shoe ploish to get rid of the reddish hue it had. Got some brown crochet thread for the tie down. Mal's pistol is bronze, but Stevo has it painted silver. Got some gold Rub and Buff and rubbed the pistol down to get a weathered bronze look. Painted the pistol grips with dullcoat to kill the shine.

And here's the mighty duo:

Re: Trevor's Firefly Sculpts

Out of curiousity, are you planning to make a Wash (Alan Tudyk) head? He is my favourite Firefly character.
