Rosalee is not all that hot. The blonde coloring of her hair doesn't work especially since the actress is a brunette in real life. For my money give me the girl who plays Alice.....:naughty:

This is what she looks like out the pixie hair:

I read the first book last week while I was out of town for a training... it was a decent read. The pining for love does get tedious, but overall it was a good read. I'll check out the next book now :D

Next book is kinda dry in the middle. But it picks up at the end and makes up for a long kinda boring middle.

Good to know, I'll bring lubricant :lol

But at least now I know why everyone looks like a model in the movie... at least that part makes sense now.

Pretty much. That's why I like those types of Vampires better than say 30 days of nights. It makes more sense. Hell even the OG Dracula had charm and looks to draw them in.

I will, once it hits DVD and my brother rents it. :D

he wont be renting it cause i gonna end up buying it on blu-ray anyways:D

thats how it started with me and im almost finishing up the fourth book. overall pretty cool story.

It seems they're firing Hardwicke because she wanted to work on the script. She made the first movie more tolerable because she adjusted the story somewhat and cut the boring parts. Now they're going ahead with a script that hasn't been tweaked. So it would seem the 2nd film will probably satisfy the fans, but won't have the crossover potential of the first.

I read that it was due to her not wanting to rush the film. The studio apparently wanted this released by next fall and Hardwicke wanted to make sure it was done right. She especially wanted a lot more CG and better effects.

From CNN:
Twilight fans, start your protest campaign now. Summit Entertainment has announced that it will not move forward with director Catherine Hardwicke for the Twilight sequel New Moon. According to Summit's press release, the studio and Hardwicke could not come to terms on a schedule; Summit's plan to release the film at the end of 2009 or beginning of 2010 did not work with the amount of prep time Hardwicke wanted to dedicate to New Moon. Similar to the Harry Potter franchise before it, Summit will now look to hire a new director to helm New Moon. According to a statement released by Hardwicke, "I am sorry that due to timing I will not have the opportunity to direct New Moon. Directing Twilight has been one the great experiences of my life, and I am grateful to the fans for their passionate support of the film. I wish everyone at Summit the best with the sequel—it is a great story."

I do hope the CG/effects will be done better than the first. That was the only weak point of the movie to me. They weren't bad, but could have been better.
