My wife is reading this book and is telling me its really good because its spends so much time on
"the best part of a relationship, the beginning, when everything is new."

Yeah...I'm pretty sure I never want to see this movie.

Just finished the last book last night and I was very let down. I won't go into detail but damn this ^^^^^ is afraid of confrontation. The ending nearly ruined the whole series for me and I have no doubt that each movie will get worse unless they completely deviate from the books.

IMO, the first book is by far the best and I have a feeling that will be the same with the movies.

I had to post this. TWILIGHT in a little over 3 minutes.....performed by puppets.

My wife is a diehard Twilight fan and says that New Moon has the potential to have more widespread crossover appeal because the addition of the Warewolves (that's not a spoiler...trust me if you know the whole story) but even she admits that the best book of the series is the fourth book by far. I actually really liked the first film so I have a feeling if anything it'll be a bookend kind of thing where the 2nd and 3rd films might be okay but the last movie will really impress.

I was just very unimpressed with the last book. The weird twist it took was OK but the last 100 pages had so much potential and just fizzled.

Meyer's writing isn't as strong as the characters and situations she has created. A good director will turn it around without much problem, who knows by then we might have Hardwicke back and she did wonders with the first.

But they're not going to change the story itself. I'll be the first to admit that I liked the first movie much more than the book but it was also my favorite book. The second one has a chance to be good but I have a feeling it'll bore the hell outta me until the ending (much like the book did).

I don't have that much faith in the last two books to be entertaining in movie format though.

The MIke- Thank for the movie reanactment.

I couldn't breath I was laughing so ^^^^ing hard! I don't have to see the movie now. Thank you!!! :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

Man, that 2nd book was pretty boring. Have to say, not really sure if I should invest time in the third. Basically felt like by the time I finished it you were pretty much in the same place as the end of the first book, buty with a few new complications added in.

My only nitpick with the video is that they spelled "Luthor" wrong. :lol
I still haven't seen Twilight yet, but I will rent it on DVD/Blu-ray when it comes out.

The second movie will be a triumph--following in the glorious footsteps of every other film that ever went from getting the greenlight through hiring a director, writing the screenplay, pre-production, filming, post-production and delivering prints to theaters in a mere 11 months.

I imagine that it will actually be on DVD by next Christmas as they continue the rush to exploit the series before the target audience hits puberty and loses interest.

Unfortunately I was draged to watch this last Sunday by my girlfriend...
Two hours of my life I will never get back.
WORST VAMPIRE MOVIE EVA........EVA..

Wow, I'm completely on the opposite end of that. I was bored silly by the first 2 books but kept slogging through. I thought the 3rd and 4th were far superior - at least they had more action.

And hilarious puppet video... Now I don't have to subject myself to the actual film. :D

There was action in the 3rd book, but we only get to see a small part of it. Please tell me exactly what action is in the 4th book! It was like this lady was trying to give us blue balls with all the teasing of action that NEVER took place. Oh, here come the Werewolves. Nope, never mind. Oh, here comes Jacob. Nope, never mind. Oh, here come the Vulturi. Nice chat, bye now. ^^^^ing boring as hell and lamer than any series I've ever read. Sorry, just my .02

Has anybody else read the partial draft of Midnight Sun (basically Edward's story)? It was really quick to read, basically because it's the same events/dialogue as Twilight, with a few additions. Oh, and instead of the endless, "OMG he's so hot and wonderful and I'm so not," you get the endless, "I want to eat her, but only in the vampire way because I'm a gentleman; she's so weak and fragile."

Well, it could be worse, and I like they it's focused more on the other vampires and their powers too. I heard that Pattinson read this before/during filming of Twilight, and I think it shows in the movie.

I was really hoping that Edward would talk about his "birth" as a vampire -- but hasn't in the partial draft. I'm not so sure, at this point, that I will read the last three of her books, but I think I'll probably see whatever movies come out. :D

Midnight Sun was basically Twilight from Edward's point of view not Bella's. When the initial unfinished drafts were posted to the net, Meyer got pissed, posted them officially and vowed not to complete the book. She did give Pattinson and Hardwicke a copy partially done to show where the character was coming from but she refused to work on it any further. There were plans initially to tell Edward's backstory, his life before Bella but apparently from the betrayal of whomever she let read and have Midnight Sun and due to the fact that she was slammed with tons of critiques and people telling her how she should have written it she stopped. It was the only book in the Twilight series that was to be rewritten although there is a grass roots kind of movement to convince her to finish it.

She stated personally though after all of the "stress" of her ordeal that Leah Clearwater or Renesmee Cullen would be the only Twilight characters she would be interested in writing further about.
