I would like to attest to Loki's kindness.....don't know if it's random because he seems to me to be an all-around good guy and prolly does good deeds for others all the time (even if he doesn't want to admit it).

One of my acts of kindness is I let P!tu hang out with me when he comes to San Antonio. I hear it is the highlight of his life.

I'm a homeless person magnet. I think they all know I will give them money......during this especially cold winter we have been having I find myself helping out more than normal. Just yesterday I gave a woman $20......part of me knows she will probably buy booze with it....but if that keeps her warm at night then who am I to judge. It's been in the low 20's around here and I couldn't imagine having to sleep out in the streets.

And I don't need a gift card either.

I have told this story before, but I once gave a dollar to a homeless guy asking for 53 cents. I didn't even ask for change. I am that good of a person.

I thought they had. But when I verified the ones I had...the date said the end of January. So I presume they got extended. If not...I may have some egg that will need to be cleaned off of my face by some random act of kindness.

Here's my act(s):

I am working with mentally disabled people on a voluntary basis for more than 10 years now. I started as a so called "integrated child", became more and more interested in the whole association, did my social service there and decided to stay. I focus on the freetime care as freetime is as important as working and housing but becomes very often the orphan (almost no money is given to us). Without volunteers we would be forced to close this sector which would result in no more holiday trips for our people (we are going on vacation 3 times a year for 1 week so almost everyone can come with us), no events in the week or at the weekend (incl. common things as discovisits, bowling, sports etc.)... Because of studying I am forst to step back at the moment (hopefully I will be able to come back on a regular basis one day but I am still a part of it as I am responsible for finding new volunteers. Further we decided to do the trip in October with the "old gang" as nobody was able to due to personal issues. So we decided to reactivate some former volunteers...

This is my typical outfit for those trips. The aim is to make them feel to be on vacation WITH us though we take care for them. So people sometimes think I am freaking a little bit out but in that case my aim to entertain MY people is achieved... Unfortunatly we are not allowed to post any pics of our people.
