I think it should be a little higher.
Hey Seb,
is this on a Hot Toys body? I guess that eBay neck version is long enough then

my casters asks that
"someone to confirm that the neck post we are using is going to seat
correctly on the correct body style OR that the interior that this post
uses is the same as the socket on multiple styles."

and that

"My fear is that the casting is designed to fit only this neck style and
others using different neck posts/bodies will not seat at all, not seat at
the correct height etc."

I think this is the actual neck post (this is the one my caster does NOT have)

and I got THIS eBay version of the neck post for my caster...

any thoughts guys?
if not, I'll tell the caster tomorrow to just go ahead with what he's got.
He wants to start this no-neck mold as soon as possible in order to get these castings out in time.
if the modified No-neck version doesn't fit well on hot toys necks... at least you'll know that it fits perfectly on the eBay hot toys necks

sunohc, that neck from ebay is the slim truetype neck, so I think it should fit fine on any normal hot toys body

Do you still need pics of hot toys heads Sunhoc? I was swamped last night but can take pics now if needed. Let me know gad to help if needed. the pic you posted is definitely the standard HT TT neck.

hey no worries,

I went ahead and told him to raise it a slight bit and go ahead with the casting process (the sooner the better, because the no-neck has the largest amount of castings to be done)

I got that Hot toys neck post from eBay and it looks a little different from the slim true type neck, but I'm sure the socket will be compatible with the body :)

THanks
daniel

well i've never been a huge fan of real hair on a figure at all but i've done a few. thought sunhoc's sculpt would be one to try out seeing how tyler durden had some stringy hair in fight club. well all i can say is i gave it a shot....:lol

not real satisfied with it but i am still messing with it a bit. great sculpt by sunhoc. adding real hair sucks & is hard to do right & a major pain all the way around. i dont suggest it to anyone.....:lol

hey Barryo, are you just gluing hair on or using a mohair patch?
I think if you used a mohair patch it might be easier?

josh::banana

just gluing strands of mohair, well what i think is mohair anyway.
never heard of mohair patch though. where is it available?

well, you'd buy mohair fur and you might have to drill the scalp a little to make up for the thickness of the rabbit skin, but you'd find some long mohair fabric

an example is this:

https://cgi.ebay.com/LONG-HAIR-CORA...ltDomain_0?hash=item3357be8dc0#ht_3466wt_1165

but that's a huge chunk.

I remember when I used to be able to find smaller patches of it in the right color on eBay.

it was like faux fur, or rabbit hair? or something.

here's a smaller chunk
https://cgi.ebay.com/Faux-Fur-Brown...tZUS_Fabric?hash=item3ca67f581c#ht_1837wt_939

find "faux fur brown" under CRAFTS category in ebay

3-4 years ago i tried it like so:
