He's looking to be the longest statue of the lot, as well. This is really crazy, when you think about it. We're shelling out big bucks just so we can stuff another decorative object into our homes. God bless Sideshow. lol

A home is just a place for our stuff. Might as well make use of it.

Yeah, it could easily be late October. If its going to be early Oct. we should be getting our month notices though. I can't wait to see him next to the Carno. And then once the Styra gets here I am officially outta space.

I still place my money on veeeeeeery late October. Seems a safe bet. I'm planning on keeping the T.rex maquette displayed alongside the T.rex VS Triceratops dio. The Carno and Styrac elsewhere in prominent locations.

I keep all my stuff in the same line displayed together as well. For the most part. The rules for where and how I display something are complicated. I'm not sure even I understand them. It's part of my ocd. :lol

Carlin. The closet-dinosaur enthusiast.

Seriously though, I'll be happy when all artwork is holographically projected. Big space saver. And it won't scare the women and children, that way.

I keep everything in different areas thematically. Aaaaaaall of my wildlife and paleo art and collectibles, along with JP, Marvel, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc. All of them separated into distinct areas. My OCD blooms with my collection. :lol

Think of the cost of power though Dan...we're already using energy-saver bulbs around here...and forget the collection..I scare women and children enough myself...especially when they get my preciouses... lol

Heh, you prob love my Pirate room Scar...and the Dino room as well...other aspects of my collection have corners or side..like the Klown side, the Godzilla side, haven't found the Dark side yet...lol :D

Do you guys have lines were things tend to go together sort of end up ? I have a Dragon room that bleeds oriental dragons over into my anime section.. ;)

Hey, if they can do it in Germany, we can surely do it here. Eventually. Once big oil buys out all the solar tech, or something.

Anyway. What is this thread about? Rex. I can't wait for this one. Pretty sure he's going to be my favorite so far.

I thought Carnotaurus would be my only piece from this line, but I love it so much I think I'm going to definitely get Tyrannosaurus.

I'm hoping I can still keep resisting the diorama pieces and stick to the maquettes that interest me.

Resist? You can't, so I wouldn't bother resisting. Our little Dinosauria following has grown by leaps and bounds since the line announcement. In the words of the great Crichton, "If you don't fight it, it won't hurt you." ;)

You mean this is news to someone? Get with the times, Blade. ;)

My mind is usually lodged firmly in the very distant past..lol

I'd heard about the concept awhile back..but it was the affording of it I couldn't figure out...I'm a bit of pessimist or a realist..whichever you prefer..like I'm sure man's future and survival prob lies out in space..but I have a hard time believing we will make it there without killing ourselves first..space travel will prob be left to the cockroaches..lol

I had a thought..prob not orig..but is the Styrac in scale with the Rex maquette ? If they did release say an Allo maquette and a Stego one seperately..how hard would it be to place them together and have a larger dio or scene ? I could easily see the Carno here charging one of several herbivores or smaller carnivores if they made them.. ;)

Styrac definitely does not appear to be in scale from the shots I've seen from SDCC.

And I'm with ya on the future of humanity. I've been pitching for years now that the next major extinction event for this planet has a native organismal basis, that being humans. And I'm an optimist. :lol

No not at all, actually. It's from "Prey". A truly excellent read. If you haven't picked it up yet I highly recommend it.

I would call it Crichton's last great book. State of Fear and Next did very little for me. Is there another I'm missing?

I thought Prey was terrible. My favorite Crichton book would probably be Great Train Robbery.

I haven't read that one yet, I need to put it on my "to read list" along with Eaters of the Dead. Is Terminal Man any good? I never read it because the premise didn't sound all that exciting to me.
