Did they take any taxes out of it?
No taxes huh.....probably because it'll count as income and be taxed come next April.
the last two of my social are "04" but still no money.
So my social ends with 02 and I did the electronic filing, but No refund yestersay......I saw where someone thought 5/2/08 which is cool
I will spend my rebate the way the govt intended: I will be putting it back into the economy via a PS3 purchase - I want that blu ray player
The sad thing is: most will probably use it to pay off bills or the exorbitent GASOLINE bills
On a side note: not having a credit card debt to worry about is a WONDERFUL feeling. I put myself in a hole in my mid to late 20s and it took me until my early 30s to pay off what I did at 25 or so - 4 years of debt sucked.
My only two debts now: car and house note. I have one of the credit cards that pays you $1 for every $100 spent, which sounds like crap, until you see it build up over time!

i'm in the same situation irish. it feels good to finally be out of debt and have some cash in the bank. i use my credit card to buy everything, but i pay it off every month so i earn the points on it. when you bought your car did they look at you funny when you told them you didnt intend on financing it?? when i did this back in Feb. the salesman said he had to go speak with the sales manager. ~~also, i have already spent my check. i've been bitten by the hot toys Predator bug and have been going crazy with them.I'm in the same exact boat as you. No debt, except for Mortgage payments. I even paid cash for my car last year.
I no longer use credit cards AT ALL. Everything is debit/check card. Cash is king.
And I plan on using my rebate the stimulate the economy by buying goodies, too.
Still nada here. "4/28", my butt.
