there was something on MSN last week that said some of the rebates were ahead of schedule and were being deposited into accounts. i'm last on the list so i won't be getting mine for quite a while.

It was deposited between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m. today. i'll bet you see yours today.

Hmm.. We'll see. I have Wachovia, and they usually only show pending or posted deposits once at day (around 4:00 AM ET).

I'm really hoping it shows up today (or overnight) as I have a use for the $$ this weekend.

Mine won't show up until around May 9th, so I'm not going to worry about it for now. I'll use the better half of it to pay off my credit card, anyway.

You understand that it's our money being given back to us, right? Personally, after all the money this country has spent on a war that had nothing to do with the attacks on the world trade center, I think we deserve more of it back.

Not to mention the amount that gets spent here giving jobs to people who do nothing but take our money to give it to someone who didn't work for it.

Or the ones whose job it is to find new ways to either make it harder for those of us who work to make money, or to spend it for us.

Think of how much we'd get back if the bureaucrats took a paycut.

Are you guys following this gas tax holiday stuff?
From someone in the trasportation field, I have to tell you its a crock. As much as I dislike most of Obama's ideas, he is the only one of the 3 that has any clue on this. The other 2 especially McCain are just pandering to the notion of "give it back" with no real clue about what it means to our infrastructure.

Ah, poop. Sounds like something's wrong with mine (and thedarknight's) then.

Thing is... if the freakin' "Where's my stimulus refund?" thing on their site was working there would be no confusion. But I imagine they spent more time and resources on that (and it apparently doesn't even work!) then they did processing the actual refunds. Only the U.S. Federal Government can be that worthless.
