Real Talk: Gina Carano is the biggest draw in Strikeforce. Which is why she'll headline whatever card she's on. Her and Kimbo were the biggest draws in EliteXC. The numbers for EliteXC cards would take a huge nosedive whenever Kimbo or Gina didn't fight. Kimbo is in the UFC now (TUF 10) and Strikeforce luckily signed Carano. I would seriously be surprised if her and Cyborg didn't Main Event that card.

Riggs defeated Phil Baroni and believed incorrectly that he broke both hands during the fight. A subsequent doctor's visit confirmed that he had merely bruised bones in his wrist, and he will make a full recovery for the August fight.

Apparently his hands weren't broke. So he should be good to go by August.

You're not alone. A lot of people dislike him. But love him or hate him, he still holds the record (With James Thompson) for the most watched MMA fight in North America (6.5 Million).

See the thing is that it depends on the severity of the broken hands. Even in Rocky Balboa they talk about how if your hand breaks it'll freeze up and then you can throw it like a brick cause it'll go numb and you won't feel it. Which is what people thought Riggs did and is absolutley possible.

However it depends on the severity of the broken hand. If it's broken in several places (like Faber's is said to have been) then it's possible that it won't freeze up and go numb and instead just handicaps you for the fight. That's what happened with Faber. He said in his first fight with Pulver he broke his hand but he kept fighting. So while fighting Brown if he could have swung his fists he would have. He was just in too much pain.

To further add to the confusion, it now appears that Mirko Cro Cop will indeed be re-signing with the UFC and will be fighting Junior dos Santos at UFC 103. I expect another Gonzaga style loss for Cro Cop tbh.

Dos Santos was scheduled to fight Justin McCully at UFC 102 and now McCully is fighting Mike Russow.

Well, looks like I'm going to have to go to UFC 103 after all. If that's the case. I wouldn't be surprised if Cro Cop loses. People actually know dos Santos is a bad ass striker too.

Rich Franklin is also rumored to be on that card. Opponent unknown...

Hopefully Cane. Sosynski would be alright too. I would expect both of them to win honestly. Alexander not so much. I don't think a win over him would move Franklin up any.
