I actually think Kimbo will do well and probably make it to the finals. Unless one of those big guys are good on the ground then he's in trouble.

That was pretty epic man! funny ^^^^ :lol

On a side note, I didnt know Belfort is sponsored by RVCA as well. Damn his new shirt coming out looks sick, going to have to get it. I was a huge fan of his back in the day.

not yet bro. im eagerly awaiting its release too. Strange since it is his UFC 103 walk out shirt and they usually sell those a month in advance for the fights. but i think this one may come out in the fall.

I'll keep you guys posted.

So it sounds like Rampage is back on the A-Team movie after all? This article is dated today.

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson’s big break has broken up a headlining bout against Rashad Evans at UFC 107.

Jackson and Evans, rival coaches on “The Ultimate Fighter 10” debuting Sept. 16 on Spike TV, will no longer face off in a culminating bout on Dec. 12 in Memphis, Tenn., where Jackson hails from.

Evans was notified Saturday that his headlining light heavyweight bout with Jackson will be postponed until early 2010, as Jackson begins shooting a lead role in the feature film remake of “The A-Team” in Vancouver, British Columbia. The 31-year-old Jackson will reprise the role of “B.A. Baracus,” made famous by iconic personality Mr. T in the 1980s.

Numerous outlets, including U.K-based “The Sun,” have reported on the jeopardized bout for the last few weeks, and UFC President Dana White even voiced his disdain for Jackson’s moonlighting aspirations at UFC 102 in late August.

The UFC has yet to make an official announcement regarding the postponed bout. Evans said White exerted all efforts to preserve the matchup, which will be heavily promoted for the next 12 weeks on Spike TV during the series.

“It’s definitely off on the 12th,” Evans told host Bruce Buffer on the Sherdog Radio Network’s “It’s Time” show Tuesday. “I am (going to fight him), but not when I’m supposed to. He’s kind of getting sidetracked taking other opportunities above fighting.”

Evans, who lost the light heavyweight title to Lyoto Machida via a vicious second-round knockout at UFC 98 last May, said he hasn’t been given a replacement date yet.

“They haven’t nailed down any dates, but they did say it would happen after the new year,” said Evans. “I think they we’re waiting to speak with Quinton’s guys to see when exactly he feels he should be ready.”

The UFC has already scheduled a Jan. 2 bout at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will likely follow it up with another event in town around Superbowl weekend.

Jackson’s withdrawal leaves a headlining slot vacant on Dec. 12. A lightweight championship bout between B.J. Penn and (presumably) Diego Sanchez has been moved to the date, though fans are expecting another big-name tilt to fill the void. The UFC is also currently trying to lock down a main-event bout to anchor its UFC 105 card on Nov. 14 in Manchester, England.

Evans, 29, said he would be open to fighting another opponent on Dec. 12 if necessary. However, he seemed doubtful the promotion would supersede the original bout between the two former light heavyweight champions.

“If it couldn’t happen at all, I would definitely want to fight somebody else,” said Evans, “but I know the UFC definitely has a lot invested in us fighting each other. It makes no sense for us to fight somebody else because then all that they have created is just a waste.”

Evans said he was disappointed and “let down” by the development, and that it called into question the “trust and respect” between the various players.

If faced with the same decision, Evans said he would have kept his commitment to the UFC and Spike TV.

“I would stick with my obligations and do the fight,” said Evans. “I know he has this amazing opportunity to do this acting, but at the same time, at the end of the day he’s still just going to be a fighter. He’s not going to be an actor. He’s a fighter. That’s what he does. We all want to branch off and do different things because we never know when this is going to end, but you have to remember what’s paying the bills for you at this particular time.”

two things that im sick of in mma... team mates not wanting to fight each other and fighters putting dumb ass acting roles ahead of their true talent.

FUBAR.. seriously. You know the funny part, after the Forrest Griffin fight (and car wreck/arrest aftermath) Rampage said he never wanted to take off from fighting that long again. Rampage said that had a negative affect on him in the Griffin fight and that he wanted to fight every 3 months or so to stay sharp.

Rampage fought Hendo on 09/08/2007
He fought Forrest on 07/05/2008 because of TUF

He fought Wandy on 12/27/2008
Then Jardine on 03/07/2009

Ok good.. less than 3 months.

But NOW.. if Rampage is taking this movie role and IF the rumor that the Rampage vs. Evans fight is being moved to February (Superbowl weekend card) that'll be 1 month more than the amount of time Rampage was off before the Griffin fight. :slap

That report certainly looks legit. Now the LHW division is in limbo again, despite having all the talent. Who's going to fight the winner of Machida vs Shogun?:dunno

This is going to be interesting. Let's think we might see Luiz Cane get in their if he beats a legit contender and THiago Silva is in the mix. I think even if Lyoto loses Anderson will not get the shot because it's Lyoto's division. Personally if you think about it the people whose names have been floating around out there because of what Page is doing are these names: Luiz Cane, Rich Franklin, Thiago Silva, and Lil Nog. Personally I don't want to see any of these people fight Machida. Luiz Cane hasn't fought anybody whose ranked in the top ten. Rich Franklin is taking fights purely for the fans and not for the rankings, which is cool but now we need a challenger. Thiago Silva got destroyed last time and the past will probably repeat himself, on top of that he only beat Jardine. Lil Nog hasn't even fought yet and might fight and UFC 105 but even if he wins he doesn't deserve a shot. The best thing the UFC can do (besides get Gegard Moussasi) is match up Thiago Silva and Luiz Cane IMO. The winner gets Machida. The LHW division has always been the best but lately we have been running out of worthy challengers because of Page doing this ^^^^. I don't hate him for it but it couldn't have come at a worst time.

stupid. stupid. stupid. Page  What a dissapointment, now when you put things into perspective ssc, it seems like the UFC doesnt have the depth that it used to have, cause your right, off the top of my head, i dont see anybody but Rampage that might have a chance to beat Machida right now. I dont think this acting bs will benefit him in anyway, not suprising if he ends up losing his next fight cause he obviously is not focused on fighting

Agreed. If Page was really after the belt then he would definetly fight Rashad as soon as possible. If I was Rashad I would ask the UFC for another fight. Rashad won't get bashed for ducking Rampage since clearly Rampage has other priorities and it could determine a number one contender. I hate to say it but it looks like we are either going to get a dude who barely fights a LHW (Franklin) a dude whose is 1-1 in his last two fights (T. Silva) and a dude who has never gotten a shot at a top ten LHW (Luiz Cane). If Machida defends his belts against these guys then people are right with the fact that he will never lose his belt.

I hate to say it but even if Machida beats Shogun and then did fight Rampage and beat him who would be next? The only LHW prospect I see who looks like he will be a top contender is Jon Jones.

i really like Jones, my favorite up and comer; with some more experience, i think he has the potential to turn into a great fighter, he has some of the best takedowns i have ever seen against (Bonnar), he has crazy stand up as well as good wrestling

Shogun has more of a chance then people think but I still see Machida winning. Ecspecially if the Shogun who fought Coleman and Griffin shows up. I still don't know if Shogun is back because he had two bad fights then KO Chuck farely quick so we didn't get to see how he is but I expect to see the best since he has recovered fully from his injuries/surgeries and is getting a title shot.
