Yea, he said he wanted to learn everything, but all he did was just do what he always does. Just stand up and try to knock people out. That just isn't going to cut it in the UFC or any MMA organization. He needed to try some takedowns; with his speed, he could do some sidesteps and double legs and they fatties won't be able to block it

Actually, he did really well. There was really nothing he could do with fat ass on top of him in the crucifix, just patting his head. Gimme a break Nicky.

Oh and PS,

He's already got a contract from Dana, and will be fighting in December at either 107 or as an undercard to the UF final.

He did do pretty well for a "noobie" in a true MMA fight. He lasted a little longer than I thought he was going to last. But he needs to work on his takedown and takedown defense. With this strenght, he could have probably used some Judo/Throws/Muy Thai in those clentching situations

"how do you get the moon off of you?" Kimbo will learn a lot while he is there, his ground defense is all he really needs to worry about as well as learning NOT how to get submitted. Rampage has had a pretty successful carreer just standing and brawling, but he goes for takedowns every once and awhile i guess

KIMBO slipped and said he is preparing for a fight Dec 12, so he does in fact get some form of UFC contract.

No need for a spoiler tag.

Most of the big name fighters on TUF that don't make it to the finals still get to fight at the finale and out of those a few get offered contracts to continue fighting. So Kimbo losing and still fighting for the UFC isn't abnormal. Mike Swick, Chris Leben, Josh Koshchek etc. all lost of TUF and are all currently signed to the UFC.

The rumor you posted is just that, a rumor. The TUF 10 finale is Dec. 5 and UFC 107 is Dec. 12 in Memphis. Now.. it's possible the UFC might switch up and have Kimbo fight at 107 to make up for Rampage's absence (adding another big name to the card) but as of right now Kimbo is still slated to fight at the finale Dec. 5.

-----------------------------------

Regarding Dan Henderson:

"During a July 31 teleconference call, White announced that Franklin would face Belfort instead and that Henderson would wait to fight Silva next following the Brazilian’s 205-pound, non-title bout against Forrest Griffin at UFC 101 on Aug. 6. Henderson said White contacted him shortly after the media call and reiterated that he’d get the next middleweight title shot. But when Henderson wouldn’t sign the new contract, other wheels were set in motion."

This is the reason why Belfort is fighting A.Silva next and not Hendo. Dan is currently in negoitiations for a new contract and he wants more money. So until he signs 1) He won't be fighting and 2) He definitely won't be fighting for a title. So it's on him that he got skipped.

I think it is beyond rumor now, a local radio station here in Vegas played a sound byte of him saying he was training for Dec 12 (i.e. UFC 107). :wave

I hadn't heard that about Hendo though, bummer. :sick

This season Rampage is the best part of the show, if he gets the right roles I think he wil do well in acting

Still a rumor until it's officially announced by the UFC.

A record-setting 6.1 million viewers tuned in to watch Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson enter the Octagon with Roy Nelson, who earned a second-round technical knockout over the Internet backyard brawler Wednesday on “The Ultimate Fighter 10,” according to a press release from Spike TV.

The fight is now the most watched ever on Spike TV, topping Quinton Jackson and Dan Henderson’s middleweight battle at UFC 75 in September 2007, which garnered 5.9 million viewers. A replay of the episode also gained 1.5 million viewers in the 11 p.m. timeslot.

Overall, the series’ third episode drew 5.3 million viewers for a 3.7 household rating, ranking it the most-watched episode of an original series in the six-year history of the channel, said Spike TV.

The episode topped all male demographics, drawing a 6.9 in Men 18-34 (2 million), a 5.4 in M18-49 (3.1 million), and “drew more Men 18-34 than anything else on television this week thus far, except Monday Night Football on ESPN,” according to Spike TV.

The ratings show a whopping 33 percent rise from the season’s first episode on Sept. 16.

Now Kimbo holds the record for both Cable and Network TV. :lol

TUF 10 FUBAR :lol

This is a spoiler so don't watch this unless you want next week spoiled. And Keep in mind, this was aired last night in the episode where Kimbo fights Nelson.

They accidently edited in a conversation about next weeks fight. There's been rumors that Schaub fights Kimbo, which led to people thinking Kimbo beat his first opponent. Well we all know that wasn't the case. Nelson beat Kimbo. At the end of last nights episode it appears that Marcus Jones will not be able to fight (he gets food poisoning or something!?) and Team Rampage will have to replace him. Obvious choice: Kimbo. When you watch the clip.. you'll see some dudes from Team Rashad talking about Kimbo. That convo aired in last nights episode BEFORE the Kimbo/Nelson fight. Only problem: Roy Nelson tells Schaub "You get him in crucifix position and you know unanswered shots just like I was." But at that point, Nelson and Kimbo had not fought. DOH! So not only did it spoil the preceding fight on the same episode but it spoils that Kimbo will be fighting again, vs. Schaub. And if you look at the preview videos for TUF 10 you can see a clip of Schaub on the ground, getting hit from a standing opponent. That opponent is Black. Only 3 Black guys on the show. The fighter is too small to be Marcus Jones. And Demico Rogers doesn't have a bald head and big beard. So it kinda narrows it down. lol.

You know what's crazy? In week 1, poor Abe is cut down to his skull and bleeding buckets of blood like a stuck pig and they make them finish the fight. Last night, Roy's landing love taps on the top of Kimbo's dome and they stop it? Come on. How shady is that?

Love taps or not, there were 44 unanswered love taps (yup I counted) at the end of the first round and Herb Dean still let them finish the round even though he was warning Kimbo to fight back. There was no choice but to stop the fight after again in the second, Kimbo was unable to intelligently defend himself. Kimbos shots early in the second were definitely effecting Nelson but he's got a decent chin, and Kimbo just didn't throw or land enough of them, and obviously still can't defend take downs.

As far as weighing down your opponent isn't that basically what Lesnar did to Mir? Pinned him down and pounded him out. Granted, Lesnar's shot shots ruined Mir's face, but it was really the same basic strategy.

If you're in a David VS Goliath match don't get pinned under the giant.

you cant compare a Lesnar fist to a big country fist, big country showed nothing, he was terrified to stand, he just leaned his fat ass on slice. I hope he gets KTFO in his next fight...

Yeah, I get all that. But after all 44 taps, Kimbo hopped right up and was clearly not hurt by them. They weren't doing any damage whatsoever. The few shots Kimbo managed to land had far more impact than anything BC landed.

I have no problem with the strategy BC used. All I'm saying is I saw no reason to end the fight. The angle BC had on Kimbo while "punching" him was awkward and he couldn't get any real power behind them. Even Dana commented on how insignificant they were. I think had Herb stood them up, it would've been a different fight because Kimbo sure seemed to be the better striker in the fight.

I'm not a fan of either of these guys, but after watching Abe bleed out in the ring and they didn't stop that, I was surprised to see them stop a fight that big when Kimbo clearly was not hurt by the shots.

I think he stopped the fight in fear that Fat Country was gonna crush the life right out of Kimbo at any second.

That's a really fun theory. I hope that footage hasn't been tampered with. I guess they could be talking about someone else, but I agree with your beliefs. Either way Roy talks about a fight that hadn't happened yet.:D

i aslo feel that Dean should have stood them up because the way i saw it, he was just laying on him not doing any damage. Of course Kimbo cant fight back when that fat ass is laying on top. I dont blame Dean though, because it was a tough situation to call, but i would have liked to see BC actually earn a victory by doing more than love taps.

I compared techniques. In fact if you read my original post you'd see that I mentioned how Lesnar's punches destroyed Mir's face as opposed to Nelson's that didn't do anything.

No, Nelsons "punches" were not doing any damage, but he was still in a dominant position that Kimbo couldn't defend. Kimbo didn't exactly look fresh when he went back to his corner, though the shots he took should have done much much more damage. I think Kimbo was actually hiding in Roy's belly. :lol As long as Nelson was throwing punches, as weak as they were, it would have been ridiculous if the ref stood them up. Lay and pray is one thing, but though it was very very weak, this has to be considered ground and pound technically.

As far as "even Dana commenting" on how weak Nelson's punches were, of course he did. This whole season is based on Kimbo Slice. There has been practically zero marketing on Nelson, other than the fact that he was fighting Kimbo. They are really making Nelson out to a real douchbag (though his silly Burger King comments aren't helping). I wouldn't be surprised if Nelson was brought in only to atttempt to legitamize Slice. So far it's backfired, but you just know that Kimbo will be brought back one way or another and given another chance. At this point Dana wants Kimbo to win more than anyone so he can set up Kimbo as a name fighter against Lesnar. It's all about the bucks to him.

Bottom line, Kimbo's ground game sucks!..if that were a guy in better shape that knew how to throw bombs from any angle, Kimbo would have been done way earlier in the fight...standing up Kimbo is probally lethal but, he has no technic and seemed a bit too timid..I doubt he would last against real UFC fighters.

Rumor is Rashad Evans vs Thiago Silva at 108.

Reasonable since Thiago just murdered Rashad's training partner and buddy Keith Jardine. Could be interesting. Rashad obviously has better wrestling but Thiago has the better ground game. Both have KO power. Nice match up. I would've prefered Evans and Hendo.. but Hendo is currently benched with contract negotiations.

Kimbo's biggest problem is his age (35). He's just too old to ever learn any significant amount of Jiu-Jitsu or Wrestling. He's only got like 5 years left in his fighting career tops unless he's like Randy Couture.

*cough*HGH*cough*

:D

Rumor is Rashad Evans vs Thiago Silva at 108.

Rashad was interviewed on MMA weekly this week and said he asked Dana for the fight since Thiago gave him a look after the Jardine fight.

Not sure if anyone posted this yet but it looks like Anderson Silva VS Vitor Belfort at UFC 108

BTW, awesome sig Devil 666 :rock

I wonder who goes where from Evans vs Silva. IF Shogun is the champ, I imagine the winner will get a title shot. Should Machida be the champ...Well, I don't think we need to see Evans or Silva get brutally knocked out again.

Another rumored fight is Wanderlei Silva vs Akiyama. Which could also be a very fun fight.
