Good card. Hendo was great as usual and it looks like Franklin maybe on his way back

So happy that Liddell got NTFO!!!! I wish he would just retire already, he starting to look like Shamrock did in the end. He's just a big old punching bag now.

I'd love to see Anderson Silva come back to 205 and Kick The Shiznit out of that showboat Evans...:banghead

Your wish is already happening. He just moved up to 205 for his last fight and ass kicking of "The Sandman" Before long he may hold both the MIDDLEWEIGHT and LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT BELTS :horror On a side note: Poor Rich Franklin who just moved up to 205 to get away from SILVA must be thinking... Eventually I may have to fight this guy again:sick

Thats crazy. They must have paid Randy $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to come back to the UFC.

I cant really say I am excited about the fight one bit. I mean Randy f'n Couture against a total rookie who really has NO business in the cage with a vet like Couture. Brock should get demolished, quick. And if Randy losses, he should retire, quick

A fight like this is nothing but a hype fight, sure Brock is being pushed hard, but it seems unfair to me to match him against a legend.

:dunno

If Brock wants to b the best then he has to fight the best or a legend, it will put his name on the map for UFC that's for sure...

I amdint, Liddells looking a bit poor recently, he has doubled his loss record in the last 4 fights, but are you saying he needs to retire due to his last fight, as it doesnt matter how good a fighter you are when a right punch like that comes, And i personally think that the Jardine fight could have been a draw, no clear winner.
Chuck is training way harder now than a few months ago, and came back from an injury

that is crazy. he was a hard working fighter and pretty good.

reading the article though I gotta say how do you not make sure you have enough gas on your trip to the desert?

Big Al, no, I like the guy as a fighter. But I don't want to see him to continue to be a punching bag and go out like Shamrock did, just getting beat fight after fight.

Somany fighters are ending up this way. I thought Franklin was going to be this way.. but kudos to him for the win!

I still think Liddell can win fights just cause of his punching power and good sprawl to avoid take downs.
All he really needs is defense. He waves his hands arond way too much when on the hunt.
I think he'll be back 1 more time with a much truer respect for opponents' punching power....

I hate the way Liddell fights, I know it's smart but yeah he does have good take down defense I honestly do not know how he won that many fights with that gut! I think you really need to attack him and get him down in order win and just pound the crap outta him, the problem is gettn close enough to him without kicking co-cocked with a power punch and I don't see where he generates the punching power he must have tremendous hips flexors LOL... He's good I give him that I just can't understand...

Nah Franklin is way to young for that yet...

No doubt he should fight the best, but this is strange fight to me. Other than the hype its gonna get, theres not much too it.

If Randy wins, which he should, the UFC puts a big speed bump in the speeding freight train that Brock is right now. Hes coming off a big win, and should get a couple more wins under his belt and build him up before putting him in the title picture.

If Randy losses, the UFC stands to loose the BIGGEST fight in MMA history, Couture vs Fedor. Randy was on Inside MMA Friday and said he has a 3 fight deal with the UFC right now, and Fedor is planned to be one of those fights. Fedor has an out in his Affliction deal to fight in other orginizations. Randy made it clear that the UFC is gonna get Fedor in for a "super fight" with Randy if he wins his fight with Brock and then wins the heavy weight title back.

I just think that putting Brock in such a huge fight so early in his carear is not that good of an idea. Just my opinion.

As far as Lidell goes, I see no need for him to retire just yet.

Look at Couture, he got his ass handed to him twice by Chuck and came back to win the heavy weight belt again.

I think Chuck has some fight left in him, I am still a big fan and would hate for him to retire.

Tru about Brock they are trying to build this mega star really quick, I think Dana favors him heavily and I see why not, he's freaking massive huge and the crowd loves him... Dana's sees $$$ and future $$$ with building this mega star. I do agree with you though that he's not ready but hey how awesome would it be to see the Natural, the verteran take out this prime punk!!!

I'd have to agree. The only thing Chuck needs to do is keep his damn hands up. I know it's his style, sort of unorthodox and you cant see the angles he punches from well, but if he had his hands up he wouldnt have been knocked out by that punch.

This latest loss says nothing about him being washed up or needing to retire. this is a fast paced sport when two people are standing toe to toe to bang it out, and ONE person is going to go down. Unfortunately for Chucky it was him. It could have gone either way with two guys having that kind of punching power.
