i like GSP, he reminds me of Jean Claude for some reason :dunno, but both penn and GSP r better fighters than when they first when at it, but i would much rather see Faber vs. Penn. Penn isnt Silva, he needs to beat all of the best in lightweight before moving up for another title shot :sancho

Sorry but there is NO ONE in the lightweight division that can even touch BJ Penn right now. Same thing goes for Silva, thus why he moved up in weight class.

did you see that 1st punch though?........ouch

Yup, that was sick! Broke his orbital bone! Brock has power, thats for damn sure.

He was not to impressive on the ground though, mostly just smothered Herring and threw a fews punches here and there. He had Herring mounted and few times and just gave it up. He never really did much with all the dominant positions he had, even his ground and pound was fairly impressive.

He still needs a lot of work, but for only his 2nd fight he made a good impression.

I gotta admit, after that ferocious punch, that was one helluva spear he dove in on him too....
.... Brock will go a long way ...... He needs to get knocked out cold one time though ... :D

That one punch broke Herring's orbital bone and bowled him over. I wish the wouldn't have been so much laying, but oh well. Hopefully he will get some more training on his ground game.

He missed a lot of choke opportunities and a bunch of chances to get his hooks in when he was in full-mount. He could have pounded Herring's face a few time and missed out.

As depleted and shallow as the heavyweight devision is in the UFC right now, I think Lesnar could be the champ within a year or so.

Maybe, but he will still have to go through Nogueira and Werdum. And if UFCV can bring Emelianenko over, he could have a problem, a big problem. And these guys are all heavy, heavy hitters and Nog and Werdum are monster ground guys.

I do like that Lesnar is lightning quick though. He is crazy fast for a guy that huge! He was all over Herring as soon as the fight started.

are you saying that it wasn't a damn close fight? if you ask me, Penn should have won that by decision.

Not according to the judges, announcers, or Matt Hughes when asked about it after the fight. No doubt it was a close fight though, which makes me wonder why anyone would be foolish enough to think Penn is going to kick GSP's ass. I imagine it too will be a close fight either way, but as for one fighter dominating the other...not going to happen.

After the fight Penn went to his after party and GSP went to the hospital. But point wise GSP won but still got his face messed up. We should see a new Penn for this fight.

Penn is without a doubt one of the most naturally gifted MMA fighers out there and now that he is dedicated to proper conditioning he is certainly a better fighter because of it. But GSP is not the same fighter he was when he faced Penn the first time, he has improved every aspect of his game since then.

Penn's biggest problem is he is not a natural welterweight, and while without a doubt he is dominant as a lightweight, he will not be quite as effective as a welterweight, if his previous record as a welterweight is any indication.

Totally agree!

Is it real? Seems kinda real, but then again not really.

If it is real that is about the best timed Superman punch I have ever seen:rock

Anyone here watching The Contender-Muay Thai? Pretty good. Watching it while I'm downloading The Force Unleashed Demo.
