I am a huge Mir fan and think that he shouldn't get the interim shot. Personally neither should Big Nog though either. It should be Carwin vs Velasquez, the original bout that was supposed to happen a long time ago. Big Nog deserves it even less than Mir. Kongo isn't really that big of a threat in the HW division right now but neither was Randy.

I'd rather them do a little tourney for the interim belt. Like they did last year. Mir vs Carwin in one bracket, Nog vs Cain in the other.

If they did that Carwin would get screwed considering he was told his next fight would be for a title, but that's how things go unfortunately.

I believe the truth to be overrated as well. He's got the talent and he's got good credentials but I haven't really seen any dominance and dominance on great fighters...is what I mean.

Vera TKO'd Mir. Mir is a top fighter.

Vera needs to get more comfortable in the LHW division, he was a small HW but had some power but when he was fighting HW they didn't push the pace like they do in the LHW division. After dropping it looks like he lost some power. Same when Diego dropped to LW, he looks like he lost power. Well, that's just my opinion.

GSP would manhandle Mr. Destiny with take downs and ground and pound. I don't think GSP is as good as a stand up boxer like Penn. GSP has the tools for an all around fighter, but if he would stick to just stand up fight he could be out class in his division. Don't get me wrong, he is a great striker but he still lacks it with the other fighters in his division. Imagine if both GSP and Spider did a catch weight, GSP would be slaughtered.

You are correct, but still personally I don't think Machida can take a punch like GSP can (though Machida is much more elusive); I think GSP would be a more entertaining fight.

Entertaining? hardly..... we all know what would happen theoretically.... GSP doesnt stand with Silva, goes for takedowns and keeps Silva on his back the whole 5 rounds.
