:lol My bad dudes. I tend to not come in here because there always seems to be arguing going on so I don't bother. But I thought I'd ask. I agree with you Ski, that would (will be funny).

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira has withdrawn from his co-headlining light heavyweight contest against Brandon Vera at UFC 109 on Feb. 6 in Las Vegas due to injury, Sherdog.com has learned from multiple sources.

Nogueira, the brother of former UFC interim heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, suffered a fractured ankle, said both sources. Nogueira’s manager, Ed Soares, could not be initially reached to confirm the injury.

The 33-year-old Brazilian had debuted strong for the promotion with a first-round technical knockout against Luis Arthur Cane at UFC 106 on Nov. 21 in Las Vegas. Nogueira has won six consecutive bouts; his last loss was a 23-second knockout at the hands of Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou at Pride 33 in February 2007.

Sources said the UFC is currently working to secure a new opponent for Vera on the same card.

Vera lost a unanimous decision to UFC hall of famer Randy Couture at UFC 105 on Nov. 14 in Manchester, England. The 32-year-old kickboxer had clocked in victories against Krzysztof Soszynski and Michael Patt before that.

I would love to see Jones vs Vera next though..........both coming off of tough losses, perfect fight

Well now it could work.

Sorry bros, haven't been in this thread in a while. But has anyone heard Lesnar is injured and might have to give up the belt?

Mir v Carwin for the Interim Belt @UFC 111. At UFC 107 Dana said a decision on Lesner was coming in the next 2 Months but I guess he changed his mind. I think Dana is waiting to hear if Lesner will need major sugery, if that happens his career may be over. Either way is dosent look like Lesner will be back anytime soon. The UFC HW Division is cursed.

That's BS if it happens. If they're going to have an interim HW title Big Nog should be fighting for it. They should have Nog and Carwin at 111 and have Mir (replace Nog) vs. Velasquez at 110. Or even go with the original plan of Carwin vs. Cain and then have Nog and Mir II for the interim title.

Mir just lost to Lesnar and his last win = Kongo who wasn't anywhere near being in line for a title shot.

Nog just lost to Mir and his last win = Couture the former champion who just lost to Lesnar.

Couture>Kongo

Apparently Vera tweeted that Jones is the replacement for Lil Nog.

...and then quickly erased it.:lol

:lol Guess he was so excited he jumped the gun. But that fight looks like it's gonna happen. I got "Bones" Jones by TKO.

:lecture:blissy
Damn I'm good :lol, the UFC should really hire me to put their fights together. Jones FTW!!!!!! BTW-Mir is a little ??????, he doesnt deserve jack ???? right now.

I'd rather them do a little tourney for the interim belt. Like they did last year. Mir vs Carwin in one bracket, Nog vs Cain in the other.

If they did that Carwin would get screwed considering he was told his next fight would be for a title, but that's how things go unfortunately.

This fight is hilarious. Apparently this guy is one of the "Worlds Strongest Man" competitors.

Word now is, this guy might be facing Aleksander Emelianenko. If so, expect to see a 5x Strongman get murdered. :lol

Live Q&A on bjpenn.com right now. pretty cool but hard to get questions in with everyone spamming :lol

Aleks by Russian prison shanking. If strongman can win that I might have to start paying attention to him...

Also, boxer James Toney claims he has met with UFC brass. This could be interesting, but I'll believe it when I see it. All the other boxers have been just talkers.

Dude, it's not just any strongman its' SUPER Mariusz Pudzianowski...the strongest and most successful Strongman EVER.

yes, he would get owned by a trained MMA fighter...but is he was put in a position (in the fight) of BRUTE STRENGTH vs BRUTE STRENGTH ... we all know who would win.

I believe the truth to be overrated as well. He's got the talent and he's got good credentials but I haven't really seen any dominance and dominance on great fighters...is what I mean.

this one hasn't been taken down ...YET

enjoy it while you can!

it's funny, mariusz wants to get set to BRUTE foRCE em, but his opponent won't let him get close....that dude is a MAN MAN...
