Just found out Penn will be stopping by my local mall this Tuesday to sign autographs. Last time he came he was promoting his DVD. Now in order to get a autograph you have to get a RVCA or his brand clothing wear. Last time I met him it was the fight prior to GSP.

Lol, I see you love your RVCA. I'll pick one up that day, I have to sneak away from work. Hopefully they'll have the BJ Penn UFC101 walkout t-shirt, ah doubt it. I need a new picture without being in a RNC. I'll ask him to hold a kick to my head:D

Lesnar reveals July return

UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar tonight confirmed my report from Dec. 9 and stated via Facebook that a July return is in the cards.

There is zero chance that Lesnar, who does not own a computer and likely does not know what Facebook is, issued the update. The DeathClutch team is in charge of keeping the page updated and have broken several stories via the page in the past.

The news aligns perfectly with what I've been told. Lesnar will likely headline the UFC's first foray into Boston in July.

https://blogs.chron.com/fighting/2009/12/lesnar_reveals_july_return.html

If the UFC goes through with Carwin vs. Mir for an interim title at 111 in March, then I guess the winner of that will most likely face Lesnar 4 months later to unify the titles.

Basically promoters do that because when it comes to drawing power: Title Fights > Non-Title Fights. That's why there's so many BS, off-brand titles in Boxing.

I like how people saying that Jose Aldo has a chance with BJ Penn:confused:. WTF, he is a good fighter but not at the same level. I actually thought that Destiny's Child would give Penn a fight. After a few more fights in the 155 I hope Penn will move up. But move up in a smart way, which he looks determined in doing.

I hope Lesnar comes back and fully recovers. I think he actually has great sportsmanship towards fighters behind the scene but acts like a prick to make the crowd rowdy to draw attention. I wanna see Mir redeem himself.

.

same here, and they say frankie edgar or maynard has a chance against BJ as well.... um...really? what exactly has either of them done really?

Sanchez would smoke all 3 of those guys and look what BJ did to him.

People need to get there heads out of there ass, BJ PENN WILL NOT LOSE AS A LW!

dude.........anyone can be beat. He will lose eventually, they always do, he is human. I guarantee it, and I dont care how humble he is now, his training and blah blah blah, theres always someone who comes along that is better in some way, just not right now.

Fixed......

while normally you would be 100% right...I think in the case of BJ Penn, bumblebee's statement isn't too far fetched. Penn could potentially retire before he even loses at LW, or he could change weight classes entirely. I don't see Penn as being one of these fighters who can't let go of the sport, like tito, ken shamrock, chuck, etc. When Penn feels he had enough, he'll walk away.

That being sad it only takes one shot... and anyone can be dropped.

Strikeforce is starting. :D

Also Strikeforce:Miami Jan. 30, 2010 is looking like this:

Strikeforce WW Championship bout: Nick Diaz vs. Marius Zaromskis
Women's Lightweight Championship (145 lb) bout: Cyborg Santos vs. Marloes Coenen
Heavyweight bout: Herschel Walker vs. TBA
Welterweight bout: Jay Hieron vs. TBA
Heavyweight bout: Bobby Lashley vs. TBA

Looks like Heiron is getting screwed out of his Strikeforce WW title shot. :lol But I'd personally rather see Diaz and Zaromskis than Diaz vs. Heiron. Zaromskis has been killing comp out in Japan so I'm anxious to see how he does in the states.
