anyone can have KO power, it doesnt take much to KO someone if you hit them in the right places. with that said, it isnt saying much when someone supposedly has KO power but cant even finish the fight even by TKO.

Not really. Let Mike Tyson and some guy with no KO power hit the same person and I guarantee Tyson will knock that person the F' out while the other guy might be lucky to twist the jaw a little. Some people have it, some people don't. I'll try to find the video of Tyson talking about how KO Power is something you're born with, not something you learn. I've seen big ass dudes who had zero power in their hands. Flush punches to the jaw with zero effect. You either got it or you don't.

I know what youre saying and i agree with you. My point was more to the effect of, even if someone supposedly has KO power, what does it matter if they can't even finish a fight by TKO let alone KO. But it's also true that just because someone KO's the other guy, doesn't mean they 'have' true KO power. Get hit flush on the button and you can be put out even if it's not the hardest punch. The first one that comes to mind is Nick Diaz vs Robbie Lawler. You can't tell me that Diaz has KO power....and Lawler is no _____ either. I know that was not a true KO, but for that punch to put Lawler down with gumby legs I think it proves my point.

Of course other things such as genetics come into play as well when it comes to punching and the ability to take punches.

See this also comes with proper punching technique...someone who is an arm puncher and someone who puts there hips into it. Big difference and will definetly bring on a bigger shock when the whole body is driven behind that punch.
