Mir's not dumb.
He's trying to create hype and make Lesner want and ask for the rematch whether its warranted or not.
He probably will say he wants to eat Lesner's children too ... :monkey1

Mir has always been a biznich IMO, talkin stupid shat like that shows it...

Watching Mir as a coach on TUF I didn't like him. But his last few fights impressed me minus the Lesner fight. I'm actually rooting for Mir to take the W over Carwin. I really want to see him fight Lesner again.

But hes only had one fight since losing to Brock  And that was not impressive at all, that was a easy fight to pick. He hasnt proven he deserves anything imo............

The Strikefarce Saga Continues.. :lol

So the word is, Fedor and the M-1 Leeches aren't too happy with Strikeforce and feel SF hasn't honored their end of the contract they all signed. Translation: Those bloodsuckers want more money. So M-1 pulled Feddy from the April card (vs. Werdum) and are now talking about Fedor fighting for another promotion all together and only appearing on a SF card through co-promotion.

Co-Promotion!?

Well let's see. Options: PRIDE FC is dead. IFL is dead. EliteXC is dead. M-1 and Fedor already successfully ruined Bodog Fight and Affliction. Now they're having problems with Strikeforce (who have a co-promotion deal with DREAM). M-1's demands are too ridiculous for the UFC to deal with those morons. SO.. whose left for M-1 and Fedor to steal from!? :lol

Guess they're trying to recoup the loss of all the money they were stealing from Mousasi (who finally smartened up and LEFT M-1).

And what does SF do to fix this situation? Yeah.. they're trying to set up Overeem (He's the SF HW Champ that hasn't defended the title since winning it over 2 years ago/has since been destroying cans in Japan instead) against....

BRETT ROGERS.

Wait.. what!?

AND IT'LL BE A NON-TITLE FIGHT.

Wait.. WHAT!?

So Overeem hasn't defended the HW title OR fought in Strikeforce for over 2 years and his first fight back is non-title AND against the guy who lost to the guy everyone wants to see Overeem fight!? :duh

Great.

Also, Arlovski signed with Strikeforce. He's expected to fight Antonio Silva in May.

Leave it to a man called “Butterbean” to get this fight going. Mariusz Pudzianowski, the world’s strongest man, will take on former UFC heavyweight champ Tim “The Maine-iac” Sylvia at the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass on April 23rd.

Eric “Butterbean” Esch and co-promoter Corey Fischer told the Boston Herald that the bouts will take place under the Korean-based promotion, Moosin, and Pudzianowski vs. Sylvia will headline the event.

This will be the U.S. debut for Pudzianowski, who has won the World’s Strongest Man title a record five times. The 33-year-old made his MMA debut in December and this show will mark his U.S. debut.

Fischer said that former UFC fighters Rich Clementi, Yves Edwards and Houston Alexander will also fight on the card. But one quote by Fischer might be a bit much: “It’ll be on pay-per-view and shown live in Korea, Poland, Canada and about 14 other countries. This will have more viewers than (the UFC’s) show.”

Perhaps in total viewership, but raise your hand if you’ve ever heard of Moosin before reading this or the Herald article. I’m sure Dana White couldn’t care less.

Jeez.. what happened to Tim Sylvia's career!? :lol

Yeah all the Fedor drama is getting old. I love Fedor hes an awesome fighter but I would like to watch him fight more than once a year. M1 seems to mess up everything. I see Fedor back in Japan before long.

As for Overeem...thats total BS. Strikeforce should have stripped his title a long time ago. I hope Brett kicks the $#it out of him.

Overeem is gonna get KTFO by Grim, he gots no chin...I guess Roids dont make your chin stonger...LOL

No I meant "what happened" as far as money.

UFC - Timmy made like $100,000 per fight with a potential $100,000 Win Bonus + undisclosed money (locker room bonuses, PPV cut!?)

Affliction - Timmmmmmmmaaayyyy made $800,000 for 36 seconds of embarrassment and hilarity at the hands of Fedor.

There's no way the Timanator is made anywhere near that for his last two fights with Adrenaline MMA. And I doubt he'll make anywhere near that for this next fight. It's obvious the UFC doesn't want his goofy ass back. Haven't heard about Strikeforce pursuing him. There's been rumors of him fighting in DREAM or Sengoku. But as of late, the only thing concrete is he's been reduced to fighting at little rinky-dink shows like an amateur.

Meh. Maybe if Tim hadn't been such a ****** in the UFC people would actually like him, and big promotions would want him.

Yeah.. he really burned that bridge. The UFC actually wanted to resign him. But for the same pay. Timmmmmmayyy chose to leave for Affliction (i.e. the competition) and "bigger paydays" instead. Saw how that worked out for him. There's a lesson in that. :lol

Its official, boxer James Tony signs a multi-fight deal with the UFC. This is going to be interesting...a glorified kimbo with better hands and no ground game. I wll give him that hes an exciting boxer...well at least I like to watch him fight, just my opinion though. Not sure how hes going to fair in the UFC, especially considering he talked smack on the grappling arts.

How old is he now? If you cant wrestle or have good jiu jitsu, you wont get very far in this sport. It's practically a prerequisite
