Hardy's got a ton of heart though. I hope he goes and works on his ground game more, he'll need it if he wants to fight more upper level guys at WW.

I honestly thought he could have defended at least half of Gsp's take down attempts. man he didnt even put up a fight for any.

Hardy must be double-jointed or something....kid's got a TON of heart. I do question why he trained at Serra's camp...he didn't even alter his stance which didn't help him stop any takedown...did he even train to defend them?

None better pound-for-pound than GSP, he's in a league of his own at the moment...and has been. hopefully he'll fight more often.

Just mind games. Hell.. even Serra picked GSP to win. :lol

Yea, I was amazed Hardy didnt get his arm broken twice, thats something you cant teach, but you cant teach GSP's skill set either. Correct me if im wrong, but i dont think Hardy landed 1 single punch in this fight. I had A. Silva at #1 P4P fighter, but GSP convinced me with this fight that he is the best in the world, there is just no competition except for maybe a A.Silva. He makes it look way too easy and dominates everyone nowadays. Hardy has really good defense, but nobody has ever been able to stop GSP's takedowns, it doesnt matter what kind of black belt you are, if he wants to do it, he will.

As for the Mir-Carwin fight, yea, Like Devil said, I cant believe ppl say either of those two are as big as Lesnar, cause Lesnar still looks huge compared to either, even with the big weight gain by Mir, if Mir got another shot, it would have been the same result.

Not sure if there's any Mir fans here, but if so this might upset y'all but it's the truth. And you don't have to look any further than Mir's losses to see that.

Mir has no heart and no perseverance when he gets hurt.

Once someone starts pounding on him on the ground Mir always has the same response: turtle up or turn on his belly and just absorb shots until the ref stops it.

Ian Freeman
Marcio Cruz
Brandon Vera
Brock Lesnar II
and now Shane Carwin

And to be perfectly frank, Mir started to do the same thing against Lesnar in their first fight. Only thing that prevented it was the ref stopping the action because Brock landed a shot to the back of the head.

But you can even see in that fight.. Mir was fine with just laying there and taking a beating. Rogan said Mir has one of the best guards in the HW division.. and people have said he has one of the best ground games in the HW division. But once someone brings it to him.. he quits. No amount of bulk/weight is going to change that. He does it every single time he's in trouble and 9 times out of 10 it results in a TKO/KO loss for Mir.

I felt the same way. GSP would just grab a leg and without opposition just take him down. I give Hardy mad cool points for taking those submissions like a manly man. Especially that Kimura....holy Fu##!!!! That hurt me just watching it.

Or atleast try to push the action. He just stood there waiting for the counter right hand. He probably landed less than 10 punches in the entire fight. I guess no one told him the challenger is the one who has to go and beat the champ, not the other way around.

And as for not tapping, it was stupid. His arm might be damaged because of it. If GSP was a ********* like Mir, it could have been severely damaged.
