I've seen a bunch of people saying that. On forums and even when they hyped up Sylvia vs. Fedor for Affliction. Also people on here have complained about Lesnar getting a title shot so "easy/fast" so I wanted to point out Sylvia's road to the title.

Actually on Sherdog the comparison came with GSP. People were saying GSP = Sylvia. Don't get that comparison at all. And mostly.. it's the Fedor worshippers who want to make that win the greatest ever for Fedor.

Hmm I dont get that comparison either...GSP would kill sylvia if they were in the same weight class...even at a Heavy, GSP would still probably kill sylvia. Tim always reminded me of just one of those big goofy guys with no real coordination. Sure hes big and he can throw a punch but that was about it. Never was a big fan of his.

Im seriously confused about Hardy at this point. I watched the fight again and it's so blatantly clear that Hardy did not even try ONCE to stop Gsp's takedown. he didnt even clinch to hold onto Gsp's shoulders, or push Gsp's head down like Penn always does to stop the TD.

What's even more frustrating is that Hardy did not even try to time a strike for when Gsp came shooting in....not even ONE.

Everytime Gsp got a hold of one of hardy's legs, it was as if hardy was just waiting to fall down. Like I said earlier, if hardy could have stopped half of Gsp's takedowns I would have come away from the fight thinking that he gave it all he had.

I wont even bother going into letting him mount, sidemount, back control, all at will.

I actually lost respect for Hardy after that showing. The armbar escape was nice, but I expected him to be more aggressive.

Nice to see some free fights tonight, although I think Gomi is a bit dried-up, would love to see him pull out a win.

If you care about MMA you'll watch. Its Kenny and Gomi...what more do you need. I mean I love Gomi, but on paper Kenny is going to kill him. I have to say it would be pretty awesome if Gomi got the W for his UFC debut. I like Kenny but I think Im going to cheer for the Fireball kid.

Maybe Gomi actually took this fight seriously and trained or else its going to be a short night, this isnt shooto.

Gomi does appear to be in good shape. That makes me a little optimistic about the possibility of him knocking Kenny's block off. I still think Ken will aim for a fight like he had against Joe Stevenson.
