Speaking of boring.....

Yeah. I grew up watching wrestling. My Dad was into so I got into as a way to spend time with him. We'd go to live matches at the Cow Palace or the Civic Center out here in S.F.

I got to see legends like Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Abdullah the Butcher, The Road Warriors, King Kong Bundy, etc. Used to love watching it.

I completely stopped once the WWE bought ECW and WCW. After that.. it just got stagnant. Now I could care less about it. TNA is cool with the X-Division but overall Pro Wrestling switched from being about in-ring performance and more about soap opera-like storylines and acting. Which I find completely moronic.

I still check out classic AWA Wrestling on ESPN or old school matches on YouTube. :lol

Thats why I stopped watching. I used to watch it when Stonecold and the Rock were wrestling but after awhile, every match got interrupted by someone rushing into the ring. It got stale. Now its even worse. they have guest stars. Why does WWE need guest stars? Seth Green and Buzz Aldrin ... really guys?

That South Park episode about WWE was funny.

those were the days :dumbo:

Thats funny cause when I see wrestling now days as well I always thinking...when is someone going to actually wrestle. Most of the time its people acting on some set, or just some wrestler talking to himself exactly like in a soap opera. I know theres fans of that stuff, but I just dont get it. Sure I watched it when I was a kid, but now I just no longer find it interesting at all. To each his own.

Just read the Sylvia/Pudzian result.:lol I'd love to see Tim back in the UFC. The beatings, Carwin, dos Santos, Lesnar, Velasquez, Mir(maybe) would put on him would be awesome. If he could even make it to their level that is.

It wasn't an ass whoopin'. Pudz gassed after a couple minutes. He got a takedown to start the fight. Couldn't do anything with it then gassed. One point in the second round Sylvia just leaned on him and Pudz dropped like a ton of bricks he was so tired. :lol

The end came when Sylvia got side control and hit Pudz with some baby hammerfists. Pudz tapped out. I would say exhaustion whupped Pudz ass more than Tim Sylvia.

That's why it was so funny afterwards when Tim was like "I'm Back!" and this idiot actually had the nerve to say he considered himself a "Legend" of the sport. :slap

hahahaha Tim was on the road to the Hall of Fame but then he became another bum fighter.

I figured Pudz would gas. He is to muscular for the sport. He has to supply too much oxygen to those things.

I dont really care for fighters who say "I'm Back" after winning a fight in such a horrible fashion.

I wouldn't call Tim a legend by any means. ...but he has some solid accomplishments, and nobody cares cause he's such a constant ******. Testing positive after his first defense didn't help him much either.

True. But I've pointed out before in this thread that contrary to the popular belief that Tim Sylvia was the most dominant/successful UFC HW champion in reality Randy Couture is the most dominant/successful UFC HW champion so far.

He's won the UFC HW title 3 times as opposed to Sylvia's 2. He has the same amount of title defenses as Sylvia with 3 although like you mentioned, Tim's defense against Gan McGee shouldn't even count since Tim tested positive for Steroids afterwards.

Not to mention Couture fought better competition in his title defenses: Prime Pedro Rizzo x2 and Gabriel Gonzaga as opposed to Arlovski x2 and Jeff Monson for Sylvia.

Tim Sylvia sucks. The UFC has always had a weak HW division. Its going to be another year until we know if the UFC has a dominate HW. They got a great bunch now, but lets see what happens. Carwin better KO Lesnar.

I wouldnt say the UFC's HW division sucks but it is lacking. I think its because the UFC focuses more on the LW division. Plus they have tried to strengthened the division but when people duck them (Fedor) and people test positive for roids (Sylvia), it can be a bit difficult.

I wouldn't call that better competition. They were all top competition at the time. I don't discount that because they are at the bottom now.
