I never heard any comparison to GSP, I dont see how they were similar at all.

It's from his season of TUF (whatever season it was). Dana White said that about Nover. After his UD loss to Efrain + 2 other consecutive losses (0-3 in the UFC) the whole "Next GSP" thing became a running joke.

And if anyone thinks that Anderson Silva moving down to WW finally allowes us to see the superfight we have all been waiting for they are sadly mistaken. Silva's weight would be to spaced out and he would get taken down and overpowered with ease.

 If Anderson Silva and GSP fight it's going to be at Middleweight with GSP moving up. Not A.Silva moving down. GSP has already stated he would need some time to add muscle/weight if the fight were to happen. So MW.. not WW.

We could definetly see Kos stop GSP's takedowns and turn it into a standup battle or even put GSP on his back. I don't understand how anyone could argue this...

Because as people have already pointed out, it didn't happen the first fight. Both GSP and Koscheck have improved since that fight, Koscheck in particular.

But NOT in the wrestling department.

That's the thing. Kos already had some of the best wrestling in MMA and had/still has solid credentials to back it up. So it's not like his wrestling 3 years ago was crap and he got 10 times better now. No. He was a phenomenal wrestler when he first faced GSP but GSP was still able to out-wrestle him.

Koscheck has even said himself he stopped focusing on wrestling and started to focus primarily on striking/subs/sub defense.

Both guys had top level wrestling in their first fight. I just don't see how Koscheck supposedly got better while GSP stayed the same/got worse since then!? Because that's what you're kinda suggesting and it makes no sense.

I'm not judging Kos by his first fight with GSP, I judge him from his last fight with Daley. He won, but he didnt do any damage at all during the fight. He just took him down and tried to stay busy. It was far from impressive to me; I think GSP has a significant advantage in every aspect of fighting, wrestling is kind of close, but GSP is one of the few I have ever seen be able to take every single oppenent down whenever he wants regardless..........I see GSP winning by sub in their fight.

Yeah even though their wrestling is about the same, GSP kept busy and went for submissions. Hardy was one tough stubborn dude and just didnt tap. I think in the same situation Kos would tap.

I just hope someone kicks someones ass and it doesnt turn into take down after take down of laying on each other.

Sure :slap

koscheck%20gsp.

Do you want me to post a pic of Kos taking GSP down?

A. Silva said he would be willing to make the cut...... GSP only said he would go to MW full time, Silva on the other hand said he would cut the weight, fight, then move back up.

Your text is bolded because idk how to multi quote, sorry for the confusion guys.

That was the first fight since GSP was TKO'ed and no one knew what his gameplan was. Koscheck expected a standup fight. GSP had an excelent gameplan and caught Kos off guard.

The last wrestler GSP faced was Fitch, that was pretty much the most we have seen GSP standup in a while.

How did I say GSP got worse/better???? GSP gets better every single fight and is the WW champ for a reason.

Who has a shot against GSP at WW in your opinion???

...yeah I dont know about sheilds while he might have decent ground game...his striking game is garbage for real. Hes got no power at all. Now Nick on the other hand, I think hes got a unique striking style and the ground game to do something. Id love to see that fight.

Anderson Silva would KO GSP, but I dont think the fight will happen. Dana said Anderson may move to LHW after his next bout.

:impatient:

Ugh, trying to explain things to you is impossible so I wont. Just see what everyone else has said.

Lol k. I never said I think GSP would lose. I think he's a huge favor because AS EVERYONE SAID he is better in ever aspect. I never argued that!!!!

All I'm saying is Koscheck has the ability to stuff a few takedowns and has the ability to KO GSP.

I'm not trying to argue with anyone. By trying to explain do you mean writing your OPINION on the fight then showing me a picture???

Regardless I do appreciate everyone's opinions, I rarely post on here anymore so I appreciate everyone actually responding to my comments.:goodpost::goodpost::goodpost::goodpost:

Who do you think will be the better coach?

Better coach GSP. Better overall coaching staff Kos.

I could be wrong, I thought Tito was going to be better than Chuck but I think this season Chuck has been better. I think Tito just does more stuff in front of the camera. Chuck and John Hackelman work well together.

Jake Shields, Nick Diaz...and that's about it.

Maybe a coule elite WW if they make the cut, but don't see that happening.

Agreed, as mentioned in one of my previous posts, Josh koscheck, Jake Shields, and Nick Diaz are the only people left for GSP to fight. IMO none can beat him though. Shields might be able to do a little something on the ground but i doubt it (Though every fight he impreses me and is good at grinding out decisions lately, even if they are five rounds), Diaz is also good on the ground with underated standup but I can't see Diaz doing anything either. Koscheck at least has one punch KO power and really good wrestling.

Yea Shields really should work on his standup. Staying at one camp isn't helping his striking atm.
I would also like to see Diaz fight GSP just to mix it up.

And his G&P. He used Hendo as a bed.

Nick Diaz would be a good choice against GSP... and I cant stand teh Diaz brothers.

No one knows how Chuck did it this season. Plus there were so many injuries.

Sometimes the Diaz brothers annoy me with there tough guy act, but at the same time, I love watching them fight. In my opinion they have an exciting style.

Some recent pics of Chuck have been hitting the web. He looks like he's in great shape. I'm not sure if it will help Saturday, but I certainly hope so.
