Believe it or not, I think Anthony Johnson is bigger.

Here's what GSP and Alves look like together:

daaam, Rumble gots a big ol' fat face....:lol

So the early PPV estimates for UFC 114: Rampage vs. Rashad is 925,000.

Which is great considering there wasn't really a solid co-main event (since Forrest dropped out of his fight with lil Nog due to injury).

Kinda weird that UFC 113: Machida vs. Shogun II (for the LHW title) only did 520,000+ PPV Buys.

925,000 puts 114 as the 5th highest grossing UFC PPV.

1. UFC 100 Lesnar vs. Mir II - 1,600,000
2. UFC 66 Liddell vs. Ortiz II - 1,050,000
3. UFC 91 Lesnar vs. Couture - 1,010,000
4. UFC 92 Griffin vs. Evans - 1,000,000

Both Rashad AND Rampage get a PPV cut too. Rampage got $250,000 and Rashad got $435,00 ($185,000 Win Bonus). So with the PPV cut both those dudes will make over a Million a piece total. Rampage closer to 2 Million (Has a higher PPV %).

That is a good payday. I'm sure Lesnar v Carwin will be up there.

And I'm calling it now... If they ever did A. Silva vs Shogun, it would be the highest PPV for the UFC.... Unless Fedor decides to finally fight in the UFC.

Silva vs Shogun wouldn't have ____ on Silva vs GSP imo. I don't think a Silva headlined card will ever beat out UFC 100 though.

...actually, I don't think any card will beat out 100 any time soon. I look forward to potential efforts.

Hmmm.. IMO, I doubt either of those would beat UFC 100 or even crack the top 3.

GSP vs. Penn II (another "Superfight") did 920,000. Anderson Silva and Shogun aren't anywhere near as popular as either GSP or Penn.

Regarding Fedor: He's already proven he's not a PPV draw. Every PPV he's headlined has failed miserably.

Both Shogun and Anderson Silva only average 300,000 PPV Buys.

Anything is possible though.

What was the UFC 100 card (Besides Mir vs Brock II).

Who thought UFC 114 would do so well? Hype the fight as one fighter looking to hold 2 belts (if they remain champ) and add some decent fights and I think it would atleast do really well.

And you dont think Silva or Shogun are as popular as Penn?

...yeah even if Fedor fought in the UFC...the casuals dont know who he even is so it wouldnt even matter. Theres no hype machine behind Fedor besides his diehard fans. The dude is simple, he shows up fights and win or lose goes home to mother Russia. He doesnt care what people think or how many PPV buys he gets. His market is Korea and Japan, not the U.S.

Forgot how awesome a card 100 was :horror

The last UFC card I ordered was Shogun v Machida 1..Alot of the cards have been week co-main events. But its just too easy to download them the next day.

Also Jake Shields should be in the UFC any day now.
