Well it's official: Jake Shields is going to the UFC.

Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker confirmed to Sherdog.com that the promotion informed Jack Shields, the fighter’s manager and father, of the release on Wednesday. Coker would not comment further on the decision.

Shields wants Anderson Silva so it looks like he's staying in the MW division. Silva is gonna rape him. :lol

Shields= :lol. His lay and play fighting style is garbage; I want GSP to show him what G&P really looks like.

Silva vs. Shields would be another Silva vs. Leites, or Silva vs. Maia.

Wonderful.

Shields will NOT strike with Silva. And Silva will be content to speak Portugese the entire fight and dance the night away.

Mir vs. Gonzaga is a step-down for Mir.

I'll take Lil Nog against Rampage. And then watch as he goes ballistic on another SUV.

I dont even think Jake will get that far...his striking is garbage and if you can strike you wont be going to far in the UFC. Even the ground guys in UFC have decent hands...Jake does not.

Is that confirmed now? When did he go ballistic on a SUV? If Nog tries to stand with Ramp, I see him getting KTFO. I would hope Ramp has some cardio this time. He needs to have a tough training camp, his last one looked weak, and he in turn fought like crap. If he had a training camp like Rashad or GSP, he would be the guy in line for a title shot.

Idk, the MW division is still pretty lame, and if he was able to lay on Hendo for 5rds, I imagine he could do the same to some of the top MW guys. If Rich drops back down to MW, that might be an interesting fight.

I was being sarcastic.

It was FAR worse than an SUV.

https://mmafrenzy.com/2978/quinton-rampage-jackson-arrested/

Jackson has never taken a loss graciously. Ever. He's a 32 year old man, with a 10 year old brain. Harsh words? Sure. But I don't like him for his "out of the cage" aspects, I like him as a fighter. But he does have some serious mental problems.

And Dana White confirmed the fight via twitter.

I see that going the other way. Lil Nog has very good stand up his boxing is crisp and his ground game is way beyond Rampage at this point in both there careers. I see lil Nog winning by arm bar

he has good stand up, but I think Ramp's one advantage over most of his oppenents is his superior boxing. Let me ask you this, when was the last time Ramp got subbed? I dont see that happening either. Nog still has a great chance to beat him, but I would put money on him not being subbed as the result; but hey anything could happen.

This Rampage isnt the Rampage of old. 1 fight in what the last year and he got owned(JMO). Not only owned(JMO) but he looked old tired and predictable. He was last subbed in 2002(injury). I just thing all around lil Nog has more ways to win then Rampage does.

It will be a good fight though.

i (respectfully) disagree....

tired of silvas showboating, and can't wait to see sonnen pwn him.

Last time I checked he didnt show boat against Hendo. Why because Hendo was actually fighting him. Maia didnt do anything to challenge him. But i did wish Silva finished him.

I (respectfully) dont see Sonnen pwning him at all. He has a fighters chance but his stand up is no match to Silva's. Frankly, Sonnen isnt a finisher and you know that. So unless he can keep Silva on his back for atleast 3 rounds, he aint winning.

well thankfully, we won't have to wait too long to see.
