Yeah Dana doesnt like to co-promote and with Yakuza still being a major force in Japan, I dont think he'd be interested in sharing the profits like Yakuza was doing. It was hard for any one to make a profit since Yakuza was taking alot off the top to begin with.

I like how you mention "co-promote" and then a criminal organization. I think Mafia guys here in the states should use that as a defense. It's not extortion, it's just co-promotion. :lol

Strikeforce this weekend...funny thing is I dont even know whos on the card besides Nick Diaz vs "the other cyborg" Santos and Jacare vs Robbie Lawler.

Roger Gracie and Hershel Walker are supposed to fight too, but in typical SF fashion their opponents weren't announced until last minute.

Well Tim Sylvia got his ass whooped. Again. This time by Ex-TUF scrub Abe Wagner. Only took 32 seconds, which is better than the 9 second ass whoopin' Ray Mercer gave Sylvia.

Timmy weighed in at 311 lbs for the fight and looked it at the weigh-ins. So much for a return to the UFC.

The only thing he will be returning to is the buffet.

when is nick going to the ufc?

Probably never. He looks good in SF because of the competition. He never looked as impressive in the UFC even losing 3x in a row at one point. Right now he's a big fish in a small pond and he's making money. Why jump ship into shark infested waters when you have a good thing going? lol.

Yeah those are my thoughts too on him. Happy in the minor leagues.

Yeah that is pretty much the case. He may be doing good in SF but in the UFC, he'd have a tougher time getting a belt.

UFC 126 on Saturday. :hi5: So many possibilities for great fights. I just dont hope its lay and pray night.

Diaz is alot better fighter now, from when he fought in the UFC. Would love to see him fight GSP, but that would be it in that UFC division.

Strikeforce does not have the level of talent the UFC does, but it is closing the gap. And thats expected. They are growing and things dont look bad.

Don't see that happening. Not with the main three fights.

Franklin/Griffin will sure as hell not be.

Bader, though a wrestler, actually tries to finish fights.

Silva/Belfort will be exciting...I hope.

Hes going to need something facing Jones. I think Bader is a decent
fighter, but I see Jon taking him out. Just my thought. This whole card should be good, im hyped for this UFC.

As for Strikeforce, some good fights. I know I was entertained. I think Nick vs Evangelista was an awesome fight. I thought Cyborg did a hell of a job, just couldnt keep up with the pace of Nick. As for Nick going to UFC, I dont think it will ever happen regardless because now that Nate and Jake are there he already stated he would never fight them. So that pretty much puts a stop to any kind of UFC dreams. I had heard that behind closed doors Dana had made some offers to Nick, but again due to the above reasons he turned them down.

The most stacked division SF currently has is their 135lb women's division. And that's pathetic. Their LHW division is non-existent. Their MW and WW divisions are both barren and their LW division sucks so bad Gilbert Melendez has had to fight Josh Thompson 3 times since they really have no one else to match him up with (main reason they needed to utilize co-promotion). Their 145lb women's division is also non-existent which is why Cris Cyborg rarely fights and when she does, 9 times out of 10 she's fighting a bloated 135lb'er.

Their HW division is on par with the UFC, but that's about it. Every other division is sorely lacking both in depth and talent. The only gap I see closing regarding SF is the gap between staying in business and going under.

UFC will show another fight on their Facebook page Saturday night.

UFC: Ultimate Fighting Championship Crowd-pleasing athletes Kid Yamamoto and Demetrious Johnson make their UFC debuts Saturday night - see bout fight LIVE and FREE right here on our "Live Video" tab at 8:25 pm ET/5:25 pm PT.

Great card this weekend. Best card in recent memory, actually. For the big 3 fights, I'm going with:

Belfort
Rich
Bones
