I'm just saying what I saw. I'm not a big enough MMA fan to even remember when Rua last lost a fight! He just looked tired to me and I think we can all agree he is a better fighter than what we witnessed? I'm not biased towards him or anything even though it must seem it :lol

because Jones was beating the ____ out of him. elbows to the stomach and face, getting his nose and mouth blocked, not being able to land punches.... it all factored in to him looks tired and sloppy.

You get the _____ out of here.

Using MMAMath again?

:lol:lol:lol

Do I really need to use that ridiculous logic to show you some equally ridiculous examples? Never use "he/she beat him, who beat her, so that means they can beat..." crap in any type of sports discussion. It never works and only serves...well...it doesn't "serve" anything.

Styles. Make. Fights.

PLEASE use your MMAmaths to show that Rashad would win when EVERYONE thinks Rashad would lose. I heard you failed Math in highschool.

no. i think they should fight soon.

That would be awesome. I'd probably actually PPV that. lol

So you went from using MMA Math, to wanting an analysis of an Evans/Bones fight, to assuming my grades in high school mathematics?
:rotfl:rotfl

This is just too much...but I'll humor myself

I think Rashad is a better wrestler than Jones. I think his NCAA credentials speak for themselves. Jones defeated Bader, a great wrestler in his own right, but I think Bader is still too green, and was definitely too slow for the far quicker Jones.

Evans is faster. Stronger. And will get Jones down. It's just a matter of what happens when he does take him down.

Still, I expect to see some problems since they both train from the same gym. One of them is either a) going to leave or b) burn some bridges

Just my opinion.

By the way, I heard you failed English in high school.
:slap

No. But I think Evans is AS STRONG as Bader, but far quicker/faster, and a more decorated wrestler.

I also think Evans has better stand-up skills than Bader. Something that Jones didn't really need to prepare for - since - besides Bader's KO power, his striking is pretty sloppy.

Rashad's is not.

The only thing Bader has over Evans is a chin. Will Jones test it? Probably.

I'm positive Jones will go into the fight as a favorite, but like I said, I'm taking Evans.

Well you can cheer for Rashad if you want to. Thats cool. I dont see that fight going to the judges atleast. I still think Jones is far better. Shogun's striking is better than Rashad's and Jones dealt with it easily.

If Rashad does lose, Rashad vs Shogun. Just to see who would have won.

I will say this: Jones is going to be a fantastic champion, no matter how many defenses he makes. He is intelligent, humble, college educated, has an extremely exciting style, etc.

LOL! That didn't take long:

No date has been set for new UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones to defend his title against former training partner Rashad Evans, but one issue is clear: trainer Greg Jackson won't be in Evans' corner on fight night.

Jackson had trained both Jones and Evans. But Evans announced Sunday on Twitter that he has parted ways with his longtime Albuquerque, N.M.-based coach.

"I will never use Greg ever again," Evans wrote on Sunday. "Greg brought this situation about. He brought Jones on board a while back against my wishes [and] here we [are] today."

Jackson isn't the only trainer who works with both Jones and Evans, but the former UFC light heavyweight titleholder will likely leave the decision to those coaches.

Despite singling out Jackson, Evans was quick to say his decision will have no negative effect on their relationship. Evans also didn't express any ill will toward Jones, whom he has trained and sparred with in the past.

"I no longer will use Greg Jackson as my coach, but [we're] still cool," Evans wrote. "[Jones] fought amazing! I'm very happy [for] him."

Jones stopped Mauricio "Shogun" Rua in the third round Saturday night at UFC 128 in Newark, N.J., to capture the 205-pound title. At 23 years old, he is the youngest UFC titleholder ever.

Evans was originally scheduled to face Rua, but a knee injury he suffered while training forced him to pull out of the bout. Jones was then offered the title shot in February, immediately after a win over Ryan Bader.

Jones helped Evans prepare for Rua by mimicking the then-champion's movements during sparring sessions.

If i had to see a super fight, id rather watch Anderson vs Jon than GSP vs Anderson, that fight just doesnt interst me at all.

Congrats to Jones,if he can handle Shogun like that i feel sorry for Rashad.

Yeah it looked like Shogun was tapping when he hit the ground,is that so strange?Jones totally raped Shogun.

isn't this the same Rashad that said he would leave the division if Jones ever became champ? :cuckoo:. Jones look sooooo pissed off when he found out he was to fight Rashad. I wander if thats cause he doesnt want to fight him or if he felt disrespected by Rashad taking away from his moment.

I dont think Rashad has an advantage in any aspect. Of course he has a punchers chance like everyone, but i'm not concerned with Rashads chances to take the belt. I imagine Rashad will prolly move to GSP's camp permanently now, but hes not going to find a sparring partner that can mimick Jones unless he gets A. Silva.

Jones > Spider-man :monkey1

Yeah pesronally I think Rashad is a little peeved about the fact that hes the one that should have been fighting Shogun, but instead he got hurt, UFC and everyone passed him by leaving him in the dust and all the attention went to Jones. Again while Rashad sitting there probably thinking win or lose, that should have been him with all the media hype and the fans going crazy.

Yeah, that was Crocops last fight on contract and after his performance...yeah it was bound to happen. Im surprised it didnt happen sooner regardless of contract.
