Van Arsdale is now with Rashads new camp. But GSP "weeded" Diego Sanchez out of Jacksons Camp. Just like what happened with Rashad. I bet they wanted GSP just for the money. If their getting a % of his purse, its alot more then what Diego makes.

Yeah I disagree with that. Rampage didn't care, Rashad did. Rashad made a team. Rampage had a bunch of dudes that ended up bonding because of the situation (constantly losing). They made their team on their own. Not Rampage.

Quinton is a great fighter but he sucked as a coach. Rashad, Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz are the 3 best coaches to ever be on TUF. IMHO.

what about GSP? I would argue GSP is a much better coach than Rashad. Hell, out of all 3 guys you mentioned, I would rather have GSP as a coach.

When was Diego "weeded" out? He was training with Jones right before his title fight at Jackson's.

Just because YOU would rather have GSP as a coach, doesn't mean Rashad was not a good one(as you implied).

I'd rather have Vince Lombardi coach me in a game of football, but if Andy Reid were to do it, I wouldn't be complaining either.

The bottom line is, Rashad was one of the best coaches in the history of TUF. Whether he is a stand up individual outside the octagon(he IS), or not, doesn't take away from his ability to bring out the best in his students.

how did I imply Rashad isn't a good coach? :lol All I said is I think GSP is a better one. I never posted I thought Rashad was a bad coach :dunno.

GSP was a good coach too. Forgot about him. Also forgot about Randy Couture, Big Nog and Matt Hughes too. There's been a lot of good coaches.

Lesnar. But when it comes to the entire coaching staff: JDS. Especially if he really did bring in Anderson Silva, Big Nog, Shogun and Aldo to spar/work out with his team. :lol

I think it's really going to come down to communication. JDS has a lot more experienced guys on his side that he is bringing in, but I have concerns about his english, and how well he is going to be able to get his point across, but I dont think Dana would have done this if he thought JDS couldnt speak well enough english to coach. We'll see, I think they will both be good.

I look forward to adding Rashad to the collection :yess:

I was actually surprised at how far along JDS has gotten with his English from all the promo stuff for his season of TUF. Even his humor (which is something often lost in translation) shines through now. I remember him laughing while making comments in Portuguese post-fight and the stuff being translated was never really funny so it was awkward. But now in English, he is a likable personality. I watched the first 5 minute sneak peak of episode 1 and his English is fine (for me). Hope his status blows up because of the exposure.

Will JDS and Brock be fighting for an interim belt? If so, I'm really hoping JDS takes it. Way better fight to see Cain vs him instead of Lesnar Cain 2.

** It also feels like Dana gives Brock the easy road. A loss and a win to fight for the title in the first place, and now after losing it, one win to get a title shot? Who else in the UFC gets this treatment?!

Yeah i hear what your saying, but it all goes back to money making and Dana knows Brock brings in the dollars. Regardless I dont care for Brock much but if he wins, then he gets his shot. Who else is really up there to fight for the belt. I do think JDS would give Cain a better fight, might even win, as far as Brock goes, if he does his homework he might be able to do something, but over all I see Cain beating his ass again.

I still think the fact that Brock doesnt like to get hit will never change and it will always be his downfall. If he can get you down and control you then its his night, but if you can fight him off and land some shots he doesnt know what to do and well we seen it with Shane and we obviously seen it with Cain.
Like I said from the beginning though I see the HW belt getting passed aroudn between the top 4 guys in the division.

No interim title. Winner fights Cain for the HW title.

I don't think fighting JDS who's undefeated in the UFC and has beaten the crap out of everyone he's faced is an "easy road". :lol

Randy Couture was coming off a loss at LHW before getting a HW title shot against Sylvia. Arlovski got an immediate rematch for the HW title after losing by TKO to Sylvia. Sylvia was 1-0 in the UFC (he beat Cabbage) before he got a HW title shot.

After Hughes lost the WW belt to Penn, he only had to fight Renato Verissimo before he got another title shot (vs. GSP). And when he lost to GSP in their second fight he only had to fight Chris Lytle before he got an interim title fight (after Serra beat GSP and then got hurt).

So it's not out of the ordinary.

JDS is the #1 contender for the HW title. If Lesnar beats him he rightfully should take that spot.

Just my opinion but I would not use the word "easy" to describe Lesnar's MMA career thus far. Guarantee you won't find many guys out there who've faced the same level of competition as Lesnar in their first 7 professional fights. And that includes Fedor, Big Nog and Cro Cop.

The UFC not only has the most ranked HW's but they also have the MOST HW's of any org (and that was even true before the SF purchase).

HW division in MMA sucks. Always has.

Totally agree, like I said not a huge Brock fan, but if he beats JDS, more power to him to try and take the belt from Cain.

The problem is the UFC has no HW's, weakest and thinnest Division.

I agree with this also, this goes back to my other comment of the same 4 or 5 heavies pretty much just sharing the belt with each other. There gonna be like "ok whose turn is it to have the belt this week"

the 145lb division is by far the weakest imo. I don't see Aldo having any issues clearing that division at the moment. I would say the HW division is right in the middle as far as competition with LW, LHW, WW at the top.
