Were his guys of Jackson's camp?
Yup. Rashad's coaching staff for TUF: Heavyweights was Greg Jackson, Trevor Wittman & Mike Van Arsdale. Same guys who train/coach GSP, Jones, etc.
Were his guys of Jackson's camp?
Yeah I disagree with that. Rampage didn't care, Rashad did. Rashad made a team. Rampage had a bunch of dudes that ended up bonding because of the situation (constantly losing). They made their team on their own. Not Rampage.
Quinton is a great fighter but he sucked as a coach. Rashad, Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz are the 3 best coaches to ever be on TUF. IMHO.
Van Arsdale is now with Rashads new camp. But GSP "weeded" Diego Sanchez out of Jacksons Camp. Just like what happened with Rashad. I bet they wanted GSP just for the money. If their getting a % of his purse, its alot more then what Diego makes.
what about GSP? I would argue GSP is a much better coach than Rashad. Hell, out of all 3 guys you mentioned, I would rather have GSP as a coach.
how did I imply Rashad isn't a good coach? All I said is I think GSP is a better one. I never posted I thought Rashad was a bad coach .
GSP was a good coach too. Forgot about him. Also forgot about Randy Couture, Big Nog and Matt Hughes too. There's been a lot of good coaches.
Lesnar. But when it comes to the entire coaching staff: JDS. Especially if he really did bring in Anderson Silva, Big Nog, Shogun and Aldo to spar/work out with his team.
Will JDS and Brock be fighting for an interim belt? If so, I'm really hoping JDS takes it. Way better fight to see Cain vs him instead of Lesnar Cain 2.
** It also feels like Dana gives Brock the easy road. A loss and a win to fight for the title in the first place, and now after losing it, one win to get a title shot? Who else in the UFC gets this treatment?!

Totally agree, like I said not a huge Brock fan, but if he beats JDS, more power to him to try and take the belt from Cain.No interim title. Winner fights Cain for the HW title.
I don't think fighting JDS who's undefeated in the UFC and has beaten the crap out of everyone he's faced is an "easy road".
Randy Couture was coming off a loss at LHW before getting a HW title shot against Sylvia. Arlovski got an immediate rematch for the HW title after losing by TKO to Sylvia. Sylvia was 1-0 in the UFC (he beat Cabbage) before he got a HW title shot.
After Hughes lost the WW belt to Penn, he only had to fight Renato Verissimo before he got another title shot (vs. GSP). And when he lost to GSP in their second fight he only had to fight Chris Lytle before he got an interim title fight (after Serra beat GSP and then got hurt).
So it's not out of the ordinary.
JDS is the #1 contender for the HW title. If Lesnar beats him he rightfully should take that spot.
Just my opinion but I would not use the word "easy" to describe Lesnar's MMA career thus far. Guarantee you won't find many guys out there who've faced the same level of competition as Lesnar in their first 7 professional fights. And that includes Fedor, Big Nog and Cro Cop.
The problem is the UFC has no HW's, weakest and thinnest Division.
Forgot about them too. There were very few bad coaches actually.
I think it's really going to come down to communication. JDS has a lot more experienced guys on his side that he is bringing in, but I have concerns about his english, and how well he is going to be able to get his point across, but I dont think Dana would have done this if he thought JDS couldnt speak well enough english to coach. We'll see, I think they will both be good.
I look forward to adding Rashad to the collection
