Grabbing them is nothing new, but holding them for extended time is. If Yves was paying attention he should've broken up the clinch, and who knows what could/would happen from there.

Everybody quickly calls Sonnen on the crap he pulls, but easily dismiss what Silva does. :slap

Silva is always gonna get the benefit of the doubt, and no point arguing it here with all the Silva nut huggers.

Well, Sonnen dismissed the short pulling, the knee, etc.

Thats one thing I can say for Sonnen; win, lose, or draw he accepts it how it is. He didn't whine about one thing that all the fans have whined about and just the opposite, he dismissed it all as people being "nitpicky".

So, you're calling Chael a Silva nuthugger? :slap

this isn't the situation like when Chael claimed he didn't tap and there was a controversy. Chael is the one whos saying its a non issue.

No, I'm talking about the Silva nuthugger fans here. Silva does no wrong, Silvas great, blah blah blah.

I didn't say what Silva did was right,im just saying that it's strange that people point that out now, when just about every UFC fighter does the same and no one seem to bother about that.

Watched the fight a few times. Most that were with me agreed with the notion that the punches Silva hit Chael with while holding his shorts actually rocked Sonnen...and he never truly recovered from it.

Silva was going to win regardless(in my opinion), but I definitely think Chael was hurt pretty bad from the punches that connected while his shorts were being held; hence the "spinning back fist from Oregon" that Chael threw while his mind was still bonkers.

Just an observation.

Oh, and **** Forrest Griffin.

Sonnen was still stunned from the shoulder check during the weigh-ins. And Silva was doing a little more than just grabbing his shorts. This was after he was told not to do it during the clinch.

Silva still won, and yes he did hold his shorts for 2 seconds but cmon, this one was in the bag. The real tip side for this was the spinning backfist. That was a big mistake. And the knee was to the chest so it's legal, at least according to the ref and announcers.

And at first I thought the knee was illegal as well, but it the chest sooo....

Yeah refs never make mistakes and UFC announcers are totally unbiased. :lol

Anderson didnt really land anything while holding the shorts. Chaels biggest mistake was the crappy spinning back fist. They could have taken off as many points as they wanted for the shorts grabbing, the outcome of the fight was chael getting shut down.

You can call me a Silva nut hugger, I dont care. I know what I seen.

Come on, if Chael doesn't care why do any of you guys? Chael can wrestle and pushes the pace of a fight but he's really one dimensional. More Mark Coleman/ Tito Ortiz for the new UFC fans. His style will win him a lot of fights and I like his bravado. That said, I'm an Anderson Silva fan, have been since he was on the Chute Box team.

Forrest...I've lost all respect for. He had better be very happy he was in that fight vs Bonner and after Dana said he'd have a UFC job for life. If it was just about anyone else Dana would fire them.
