There's no way GSP knocks out Diaz, and I don't see him submitting him either, so I'll go ahead an predict 5 rounds of boring man hump. Yep, GSP knows what the fans want to see...
Thats what I see happening. GSP will fight smart and keep moving not allowing Nick to sucker him into an exchange.

nobody said GSP would KO Diaz. If Diaz is championship material, he will stuff the takedowns.

I think Nick is good but we all know the Diaz bros weakness is wrestling. While they may have awesome BJJ backgrounds its totally different than a good wrestling game. I have a feeling hes going to end up on his back alot.

LOL diaz is going to stuff gsp's takedowns? that is the most delusional nonsense i have heard and this is coming from someone who hates watching gsp fight. when has anyone ever stuffed gsp's takedowns vs. diaz being taken down at will most of the time.

in their 2nd fight, he couldn't keep Kos down for more than a few seconds though. That was by far the most success anyone had against him. In the Shields fight, I don't even recall GSP going for a takedown. I don't think Diaz is as big of a threat off his back, as Shields was.

Tell me again how that fight worked out for Kos, and Diaz doesn't have near the level of Kos in wrestling to stuff GSP.

Josh Koscheck

yeah he did a few times, but he was still on his back in the first fight. this point is moot because diaz is nowhere near koscheck in terms of wrestling ability. i guarantee you that the fight is going to look similar to the nate vs. benson fight from last week. diaz has nothing for gsp.

by the way, i am starting to see the ufc as more of a entertainment business than a legitimate sporting event. diaz should not even be fighting gsp. this is absurd on all levels. hendricks knocks out fitch and kampmann and beats koscheck, yet diaz who just lost (how do you get a title shot after a loss) and then spent his days in strikeforce fighting ufc rejects (cyborg, kj noons lulz) gets his shot first? c'mon man, this is a disgrace on all levels. don't even try to justify it by citing his win over bj penn who was and is no longer a force at 170 pounds. almost as bad as putting rousey vs carmouche(lol a division made up of 4 ppl at best) ahead of machida v. henderson.

The only reason Diaz was originally scheduled to fight GSP was because he came back into the UFC as the Strikeforce WW champ. That's it.

Diaz wormed his way out of that fight and eventually fought Condit instead. And lost. So Condit fought GSP. And lost.

Everyone expected Hendricks to fight GSP but the reality is, even with his decision loss to Condit, people still wanna see Diaz fight GSP.

I personally couldn't care less. :lol

yeah white keeps saying "people want to see gsp v. diaz" but im not so sure about that either. it is more compelling story wise but from the actual fans who keep up with the "sport" the consensus seems to be that it is a waste of time since it seems obvious what will happen. although i dont think hendricks will win either, i am more curious how he would fare against gsp.

people still wanna see Diaz fight GSP.l

I keep hearing this but have yet to hear it from anyone I know. I don't think anyone on this forum either would prefer this fight to Hendricks. Diaz needs to give another eccentric interview talking **** about GSP to hype things up and fool me into thinking this is an interesting fight :lol

Id like to see Diaz vs GSP. I mean I also want to see Hendicks vs GSP, but I'll take either. Its interesting to me because while I think GSP will win by a boring decision, I still want to see what Nick will do to back up his trash talk or will he be stuck in his tracks sorta how the Condit fight went.

Seemed obvious what would happen when GSP fought Serra for the first time and you know how that turned out. :lol

right and serra fought because he earned the shot by actually beating people. diaz doesn't even have knockout power, he uses volume to beat people. this is the worst match up for him possible.

Him beating people by KO or by volume has nothing to do with it. If you cant stop it, its not his fault. Carlos figured him out and kept moving. Im pretty sure GSP will do the same. Does he deserve the shot, I dont think so. Do I want to see the fight, yes I do.

He didn't "earn" his title shot. Let's be honest, Serra won TUF by beating a bunch of D-List, completely irrelevant fighters. Like himself. Does Diaz deserve a title shot now? Hell no. But he's done more in say his last 5 fights than Serra or Lutter did before they got their title shots.

you can't compare the time serra fought to the present era of mma. there just wasn't enough competition back then. as long as we agree diaz should be nowhere near a title shot i think we agree enough

Wait.. what? Do you remember when Serra was on TUF? The premise of the show was to bring back a bunch of guys with losing/bad records in the UFC and give them another shot. So all the guys Serra beat on that show weren't even remotely ranked at WW. Not even top 40.

The WW division had plenty of real competition back then. It was actually the deepest division in MMA at that time.
