It's not a huge deal, but it is one more reason. Football is on par in the violent category, arguably even more violent then mma giving the long term consequences and the life span of their careers, and yet, it's very family friendly, as well as boxing. I would also say boxing gets plenty more coverage on espn than mma, and we all know how lame boxing is now. Little things will continue to keep mma from growing. This country loves violence, well humans do in general I guess, so why doesn't mma get more attention?

NFL and other popular city team sports will always be more appealing to family's. That team your granpa cheered for? You can cheer for them too. When a fighter retires, that's it beyond nostalgia and legacy.

I agree with you man, but even in the sense of boxing people think of it as classy to stand and punch each other. Boxing has been around for alot longer so its already accepted for what it is. As you said it will be a while before MMA gets there. I think MMA is looked at as dirty in the classic sense of a street fight. People who dont know what there watching see a guy fall and immediately think "ok let him up" or "he gets a break". When they see a guy follow him to the ground and keep punching his face in its looked at as something you would see in the street. Just my opinion but, thats just how I see it thru the masses who have no idea.

Totally agree as well. Other than watching outdated footage of your favorite fighter which most people dont do.

UFC was ok tonight. Main event took the spotlight though. Few spoilers so if you havent saw it ignore

Neither of the finalists i wanted to win - won. So booo. Id like to see Freakshow again.

George took such a beating. It was like a Rocky movie where he gets his ass kicked then comes back at the end. But he didnt. I thought Ross was going to finish him in the first round after George started doing gangnam style. Then George is down in the 2nd round. Then the 3rd. I love the final punch that put george down it was like something from a video game. Ross punched him and he flew up in the air sideways.

No need for spoliers it was a live event and happened last night. No one has responded so it doesnt matter.

Im just happy Hector Lombard got the win as well as Ross Pearson. Ross and Hector both throwing heavy bombs.

So it's safe to assume Hector WAS injured/sick vs. Boestch, yeah? Or was it simply a matter of "Styles make fights" i.e. Boestch is a better striker/wrestler than Palhares. Either way I hope the UFC grants Hector's request and gives him either Bisping or Muneoz.

Sorry if any of those names are spelled wrong. :lol

Im really bummed that it was the end of the " smashes " last night. I find the nationality TUF's to be alot more interesting than 16 hot headed americans. Dude with the pink mohawk during TUF Fridays needs to face clubber lang or something. He needs to be taught some humility.

I think they'll let him fight Munoz since Bisping is fighting soon. If so,I hope Mark
wins, he's a good friend of ours

Big country baby!!! His fights are almost always fun to watch win or lose. Would love to see big country fight Bigfoot.
