Pettis looked really good and was a lot smaller in size. I think Rampage said it best when saying he just wanted to be like Gary Goodridge and go out there and put on a good show. Putting on a good show and winning in todays MMA can be 2 different things. I think he realizes the game has passed him by. All he wants to do is box a guy now when all he used to do was GNP in Pride.

Dana admitted he lied about talks of getting Fedor in the UFC. He said he was very close to signing and talks were good but Fedor's Father died, and that ended Fedor's return. Fedor was going to fight Lesnar in Dallas Stadium. UFC is supposed to go to Russia this year.

Actually he never lied about that. What he said was he "lied" about talks with Lesnar "not going well" to preserve the surprise announcement of that fight.

Lesnar's last UFC fight was December 2011. He rejoined WWE April 2012. All this was going on WHILE he was with WWE. Dana told the media he met with Lesnar and the meeting didn't go well but in reality Lesnar was all set to come back and fight Fedor (who was also on board). But later in August, Fedor's father passed away and that's when Fedor decided to officially retire from MMA. Once that happened Lesnar said he was finished as well.

Do you ever get anything right!? :slap

That is not a lie.

My thing is why is this even news. Like what the hell even brought this conversation up on press row. I mean Brock is long gone and I dont see him coming back and Fedor has been done long ago. This fight is totally irrelevant now.

I guess some people are still wishing for this to happen.

It was brought up by Helwani after (I think) a female Russian reporter asked a bunch of questions regarding the UFC doing some shows (Live PPV and or TUF) there. When Dana said the UFC definitely plans on going there and doing a PPV this year that's when Helwani brought up Fedor.

I agree though, kinda weird. Fedor was coming off 3 wins over 3 irrelevant fighters in the HW division (after 3 straight losses) and Brock was coming off back-to-back losses by TKO.

Fedor vs Brock in Dallas stadium. Good Lord, that would have been a dream come true for me. Then to have the screaming Pride lady doing the fighter entrances...pure awesomeness.

Sports Illustrated reported on Tuesday that UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture has signed a deal with the Viacom cable company to appear in several projects, including a high-profile coaching stint on Bellator's upcoming reality series:

Spike TV will unveil this industry-shifting announcement on Feb. 5 during a press conference in Los Angeles, where Couture and Spike TV president Kevin Kay will discuss details of the agreement and what the 49-year-old retired fighter's role will be on the Bellator series and possibly other Spike-broadcasted projects. The series is expected to feature a number of current and up-and-coming Bellator fighters.

According to SI reporter Loretta Hunt, the deal was made back in December 2012. UFC president Dana White apparently knew about it and expressed "disapproval" over the issue.

Dana White expressed disapproval!? :lol

The UFC should have given Randy a job then. If not, don't cry when dude goes out and finds one that just happens to be with a competitor. Jerk *****.

I dug the vibe this last episode of TUF had. Definitely an overhaul in the right direction. Part of me feels like they should have taken it even further. Feels like refurb electronics instead of new models :lol

Ok makes sense. I knew Helwani was involved some how but I didnt get the full scoop. Im sure it'll never happen regardless.

Randy had a job with the UFC as an analyst on the UFC on Fox. Dont you get anything right.

Obviously Bellators offer was better *******.

So if Bellator some day is going bankrupt

This is what I mean.. stupidity. VIACOM OWNS BELLATOR. They're NEVER going bankrupt. EVER. That's the difference between Bellator now and previous MMA companies that were privately owned, which includes the UFC.

Dana said if Rashad beats Nog he gets Silva for the title at 185!

That's a fight I think Evans could do very well at.

Depends how long he had to get down to 185 for the fight. Machida's standup was too much for him, I can't see him getting in for the wrestle grind without getting tagged in a weakened state.
