Gilbert had a chance in his last fight and couldn't get it done. He should be behind TJ Grant.

I still think he got robbed in that fight which is why i think this could be a great chance for him to prove himself again.

If I recall, I think I had Gil winning that fight or losing by just one round, can't remember, it was another really close fight. If Gil wins in impressive fashion, I think he deserves another crack at it. Grant still has to prove himself. Beating one top guy doesn't prove much.

Random interesting fact that shocked me. Al Bundy is a Gracie Black Belt :horror

Yeah I found that out a while ago. :lol

He was interviewed about MMA and I was like "why the hell are they talking to him?" and sure enough, BJJ BB with over 20 years experience. He was trained by Rorion. Crazy.

Here's some other random interesting facts related to UFC 164/Benson Henderson:

Bendo had defended 32 sub attempts in UFC and WEC bouts prior to being subbed by Pettis on Saturday.

Excluding interim and vacant titles, Bendo is the first UFC champion in almost 10 years to be submitted in a title fight. Last time it happened was January 31, 2004 at UFC 46 when Hughes was subbed by Penn for the WW title. And besides those two it's only happened one other time on May 4, 2001 at UFC 31 when Pat Miletich was subbed by Carlos Newton.

Excluding interim and vacant titles, Bendo is the first UFC LW champion to ever be submitted in a title fight.

I actually didn't find out until I watched the Gracie breakdown of Jones/Vitor. Shocked, that's quite an achievement at any age, especially coming from a good place that doesn't just hand out black belts like a lot of places do.

I think Benson prolly feels worse about being subbed than actually losing. He competes a lot in BJJ tournaments, he just must have been too relaxed thinking he got Pettis where he wanted him. Major brain fart on his part. Maybe his hair was braided too tightly :lol

Yeah Ed, used to train in Torrence with Rorion and Royce, but was awarded his BB from Rorion. Apparently hes a good friend of the Gracie family now.

As for Bendo and Pettis, it seemed to be that Pettis was changing the games with his kicks also. A lot of those kicks seemed to have landed pretty solidly. You could see Ben was really trying to hide the pain everytime he was kicked.

exactly the same kick that doubled over donald cerone

I think he'll be able to handle TJ. Did anyone watch the fights last night? Wasn't really all that impressive considering it was a Brazilian fight night basically.

If you haven't seen it, just watch Yuushin vs. Jacare and Glover vs. Bader. Really the only 2 fights I cared for. Also last night was the premiere of TUF with Ronda and Miesha. Overall it was typical TUF, I'll be watching but like Ive said before I think my TUF viewing is just done. I watch a few fights then I just kinda zone out.

Mir vs. Overeem, UFC 167.

Mir is 0-3 and Reem is 0-2 so I'm assuming whoever loses is gonna get the axe and be out of a job. :lol

Card is looking pretty stacked..

WW TITLE: GSP vs. Hendricks
Rashad vs. Sonnen
Mir vs. Overeem
MacDonald vs. Lawler
Koscheck vs. Woodley
