Let's be honest: Fedor's big claim to fame is that he's technically undefeated. That's the #1 thing people bring up. EVEN when they're honest enough to admit that the competition he's faced throughout his entire career has been spotty. It's also the #1 thing people use in the whole P4P arguement too. Even though Anderson Silva and GSP have both been consistenly fighting and beating top 10 opponents in their respective weight divisions (or top 10 opponents in general like GSP vs. Penn who's the #1 LW in the world) people will still bring up their losses, and throw in how Fedor is technically undefeated so that must automatically make him better.
NO. If you never fight anyone relevant in your weight division, yeah there's a pretty good chance you'll stay undefeated.

Back to Fedor (due to popular demand), the guy never lost, never had a bad night, never been submitted, KO'd and thats why he's No. 1 P4P.
I can easily breakdown GSP and Anderson Silva's opponents. I thought GSP lost the 1st time to Penn, he beat an old hughes, Penn in the grease match. Got KO'd by Serra, and was afraid to stand in the rematch.
Anderson got fame from KO of Leban and Franklin. I never liked Franklin, good standup, but never impressive. anderson almost lost to a dehydrated Lutter, looked bored in his last 2 fights, and got boo'ed is that a P4P fighter.
See? You just did what I predicted you would do. Brought up how Fedor is "technically" undefeated and brought up other
P4P contenders losses.
That's the main thing people use to "prove" that Fedor is the P4P king. Time and time again.. and it just doesn't hold weight. Yes he's never technically lost.. but then again in his entire career he's only faced 2 HW's who were relevant
AND on a win streak against credible and equally relevant HW's: Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Mirko Cro Cop. That's it.

So I guess he needs to fight Lesner, a guy with 4 fights, a former WWE guy, come on.
You mean the guy that destroyed Randy Couture? The same Randy Couture that everyone said vs. Fedor would be:
1. The biggest fight in MMA history.
2. Fedor's biggest/hardest challenge in his entire career.
That Brock Lesnar?
Seriously though, who cares about Brock Lesnar!?
No one thought Gonzaga would beat Cro Cop. But he did. KO. Something Fedor couldn't do.
No one thought Chiek Kongo would beat Cro Cop. But he did.
No one thought Mir would beat Big Nog. But he did. (T)KO. Something Fedor couldn't do in 3 fights.
No one thought Junior dos Santos would beat Werdum. But he did. KO.
It's easy to look at fighters and say "he'd never beat so and so". But it happens.
Fedor fans tend to talk up his opponents, making them appear better than they are to further their agenda. Same opponents vs. someone else or just not vs. Fedor, and those same Fedor fans rip them apart. Call them cans, bums, etc. But magically, as soon as they fight Fedor suddenly they're great. Tim Sylvia, Andre Arlovski, Hong-Man Choi, Matt Lindland, Mark Coleman, Kevin Randleman ALL come to mind. And I can give specific examples if needed.
