Another I think is underrated is Rambo III. While I agree with the general consensus that it's the weakest, it's still a really good film to me.

Terminator Salvation - Pretty cool for what it is. I also had low expectations when I saw it, so I really enjoyed it. I loved all of the Terminator designs and the T-800 model 101 cameo at the end is awesome.

Spiderman 3- Sure not nearly as good as 1&2, but still enjoyable.

I didn't mind Terminator: Salvation, either. I liked that we finally had a Terminator movie set entirely during the future war for once.

One movie everyone hates that I liked a lot was Matrix Reloaded.
I can understand some of the criticism ( no real plot/ too many characters/ hollow story etc) but I thought it was a really good action movie. I liked most of the new characters (The Merovingian was pretty awesome) and some of the effects were pretty cool too.

it was a dumb summer blockbuster action movie, and in that sense for me it works. I loved that movie for a while.

Matrix 3 on the other hand..... I have watch that movie a handful of times and every time I usually regret it.

I never saw any of The Matrix sequels, just the first, which I remember thinking was okay.

Matriz 2 was fun, like you said some great action and it had a stlyish look to it, it just took it self so seriously and went all preachy religious.

The first film was a sleek and cool sci-fi action thriller and the sequels took it in a different strange direction.

I think the Matrix sequels are massvily underrated. I think there awesome, one of my favorite trilogies. People despise them but in the end they really make you think, theres meaning and the stakes were big, i felt the emotional stuff and not to mention Reloaded has some of the best action sequences i have scene .

Oh yeah Lethal Weapon 4. 3 seems to get a bad rap aswell. I love them all, excellent series. They got increasingly jokey as they went on, true. Still liked them though.

I actually liked Matrix 2 and 3. Reloaded had some great action set pieces. There were a lot of characters, and it got more complex ... but I liked how they worked Smith back in as a virus.

Revolutions was clearly the worst of the group ... but the fight at the end was really cool. Actually, its a bit of what I always pictured a Superman vs. supervillain (Zod, Doomsday, whomever) fist fight would look like. The overall plot wasn't terrible ... it was just set in the 'real world' a lot, which removed it from the cool visuals of the other two movies. It was a touch confusing, and I'm not all that easy to confuse. It took me a time-or-two to figure the ending.
