I really like the Underworld movies so I am going to give this a chance. But based solely on the trailer, I am not sure I like the direction the overall story has taken.

Screen Gems has provided us with the new U.S. poster for Underworld Awakening, coming to 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D theaters on January 20. Directed by Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein, the film stars Kate Beckinsale, Stephen Rea, Michael Ealy, Theo James, India Eisley and Charles Dance.
Beckinsale, star of the first two films, returns in her lead role as the vampire warrioress Selene, who escapes imprisonment to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both Vampire and Lycan clans, and are conducting an all-out war to eradicate both immortal species.
