Where you at?? I always figured you'd be creeped out by a "forum" dude asking to hang out.

:lol....Yeah...hanging out with one of u Freaks can sound pretty creepy!
I'm all the way out here in Carollwood!

We should hit up a movie of something....OHHH...or the Megacon!!! :banana

Been unemployed since July when my coworker/girlfriend broke my heart.

I've applied for more jobs than there are toys in my room, and no luck whatsoever. I eat a lot of cup of noodles.

I was accepted by Americorps, but they pushed my ship date back six months due to a physical condition of mine.
I've got a position teaching an afterschool art class to teenagers lined up, and I really hope it doesn't fall through.

My no gal/few friends/no job time killers:

- Draw/Ink
- Write
- SSF boards
- Facebook
- Ebay
- Movies
- Books/Comics
- Run
- Masturbate
- Sleep

Rough chapter of my life.

WOW, just wow man... and I'm sorry bro :monkey1

I've never been unemployed. I worked at BK or made things to sell inbetween high paying jobs. You just have to do that sometimes.

Same here Ween, I have not been unemployed since I was 10 :rotfl

and yeah cash under the table with my younger years it was not legal :lol

My question is, HOW DO YOU AFFORD TO NOT WORK?!?!?

Even though I have a couple years until I finish school, I am reluctant to move back to Florida.... I just hope I can have something lined up when I finish, or even BEFORE!

I was thinking the same thing Chris... :google

I got laid off back in June of 2008....but was lucky enough to find another job in a week thru connections.

I'm currently looking for a part time job, just so I can make ends meet and try to save up a little so that I can move up to NYC. :(

It sucks....but like Weenie said before, u just gotta do it sometimes.

Money sucks.

Thats the problem! 99% of this places is all Internet ____!!! you go there to make a good impression! "go fill out an application online" :monkey4:monkey4:monkey4:monkey4 what ever happened to face to face!! i miss those days!:monkey2

I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT!! i HATE haveing to fill out stuff online, its so.....impersonal! i ussually just go to the places anyway so that they know who i am. i ask to speak to the manager or whoever does the hiring, cuz i dont wanna talk to no cronie. i want to speak to the head honcho, and i ask them if they are hiring and i try to be as friendly as possible, like i dont have a care in the world (in other words, i still act like i have a job) and just make sure they know who i am. and THEN you go online and fill it out. it tends to work, and hey at least they'll remeber me as the nice guy with the great personality (or so i hope lol). and thats really all you can do, and then go home and pray.

Tell me about it. I literally stumped a girl when I went into a local agency with my resume and some general questions. She was really puzzled and told me that the HR wasn't at this location and that people have to go through the website and contact them through those means.

man that is just sad and pathetic. what is wrong with ppl these days? you cant just go in an ask for an application anymore. look, i like the computer for certain things but when it comes to jobs, it really does suck and makes no sense. some places still do paper applications but most of them dont. its really annoying and just sad.

I've applied for more jobs than there are toys in my room
:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl this made me laugh.

seriously, this thread has made me have a good laugh at some of the responses!

I just got a call from a pet store near campus so it looks like my afternoon naps are bye bye.:monkey2

lucky ass...........I have a crappy part time job right now that doesnt even pay all my bills, but I'm still in school, and I have a lot of experience working with animals, but no Vet hospitals or univerisites, or even pet stores will hire me right now.........even if I'm over qualified :( I just don't know what some of these places are looking for, and I cant last long where I'm at now.

Nonsense poopy pants!

I hung out with Gruesam when she came down to San Fran, and I didn't even hesitate to meet up with her! We went to Bodega Bay and saw the original schoolhouse from the movie "The Birds" by Hitchcock.... Great experience, and meeting up with a fellow freak will pretty much guarantee several hours of nice chat

wookie, I know how you feel. Up until today, I've been feeling very much the same as you've been. I guess the good thing is I had some money put away, that has gotten me by. After I got home at the end of September upon finishing a two year volunteer mission for my church on the west coast, I was eager to find work. I looked around in the town I'm from, and nothing came up. There wasn't even much to apply for. So, I decided it was time to look elsewhere and so I came to the suburbs of Toronto, moving out of my parents place. I have spent about a week and a half down here, and finally things paid off this morning. I went to apply for a position as a Security Guard with no previous experience, and I got hired on the spot. I also got accepted to the school of my choice this week, so I am on cloud 9 right now. I got security training next week. Can't complain with what my starting wage will be either. Eventually, things work out. Hang in there man.
