Saw it last Friday and really enjoyed it. I liked this better than Avatar. LOL

I watched the original again before I went and have to say this was never a favorite of mine. Claude Rains as Daddy is great but there's way too little Wolfman action in the original. The best part of the original of course is the look of the Wolfman and this is what I've loved since I was a kid.

But this new one was fun and I liked Baker's make-up. One thing I didn't like which has become a problem in all recent sci-fi/monster movies is:

Creatures such as this Wolfman move way too fast. When he's on all fours he moves to damn fast. You see this in all movies now; I am Legend, Avatar, Spider-Man, etc. It's not physically possible for things of this size and weight to move this fast. Sorry, it bugs me.

Saw the Iron Man 2 preview...not amazed. Too soon for War Machine...

Really enjoyed Rick Baker's cameo in the film. I went ahead and ordered the mez-itz piece from entertainment earth. Still hoping a high-end company will pick up the license. Looks like the next collectible will be this stylized piece:

WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:google :monkey5 :monkey5:monkey5:monkey5 :monkey5:monkey5:monkey5
Is it by Mezco? Will Sideshow offer this piece?

Yes it is by Mezco. Due out in August. No word yet if SS is carrying it though.

I didnt think it was terrible...just...meh.

It had zero character development, zero liner plot, and no one seemed like they fit. '

It felt unfinished, and rushed.

I have to agree with this. I felt this movie hit the ground running and never stopped. For an action movie, that is great, but for a horror film, it really needs to build. This never built up to anything, it just kept going.

The make up and look of the Wolfman were great though! I just felt they strayed way too far from the original to be worthy of being called the Wolfman. And all of the loose ends they didn't tie up.

Talbot Sr would still be alive right? No silver bullet for him, only a wolfy decapataion and fringed fur. And then Inspector Abberline being bitten and nobody putting him down. Plus the original let a sequel happen because he wasn't killed by a loved one. So they blew that loophole here. So Wolfman 2 would be Hopkins vs Weaving Lol

Yeah. Just saw this last night.... It was ok. It had some good moments, and I can appreciate it because it stemmed from a classic horror film. But it wasn't that scary ;)

What movies are scary anyway??? Does anyone ever actually forget it's all a movie.....?:duh:eek::peace

yea it was hinted at that Weaving would be hunted at the end with the voice over. I would also think that Hopkins is dead, his head was ripped off, I don't think there is any coming back from that. Kinda like how William from Underworld had his head split open.

I must have not payed attention to the last voice over.

As for Hopkins, let me point you to Monster Squad where the Wolfman was blown up with TNT and came back together. Different film sure, but it stressed that it has to be silver that kills a wolfman. With all of the villagers stocking up on silver bullets, nobody thought they could just chop his head off? Seems a bit of poor writing at least to not mention that ripping a wolfman's head off can also do the trick.

Remember, in a horror movie, you just can't take things for granted. That is how loopholes are created. And right now Hopkins has a more believable way of coming back then Del Toro.
