Just a tip for eveyone, I hear the Blu-ray has issues when played on the PS3 and that the D copy does not work on a Mac. I do not know for sure.

I cannot get the digital copy of either Wolfman 1941 or new Wolfman off the disc and onto pc. It just keeps saying theres an error. Good thing I dont really care about digital versions or I would be ticked!

Really? Well that sucks balls...
I was going to get it this weekend... and I have both a PS2 and a Mac... :banghead

There is a lot of difference in the director's cut...including much more gore and a scene with MAX VON SYDOW that was entirely cut from the theatrical release. In it we see exactly how Talbot gets his unusual walking stick.

Sweet!!
I just hope they fix the issues soon so I can check it out!
:impatient:

Richard are you going to let Seth watch this film? :lol

Richard, Go to www.universalhidef.com enter your code from the d copy to watch the classic wolfman. I do not think it is a download.

Use itunes for downloading the d copy onto your PC and you should be fine. Hope that helps. :D

I'm happy to report that I had no audio issues at the 90 minute mark on my PS3.

Oh yeah, he loves it!...he was just as shocked by the alternate ending as I was though. In the extras section, it explains that Del Toro wanted this Wolfman to be shown eating limbs and gnawing bones. The scene never made it into the film, but in one of the extras, there he is under the bridge eating a leg made entirely of honeycomb, jelly, and licorice, and chewing on the protruding bone. It looked totally disgusting!:thud:

That sounds disgusting, not just because it is supposed to look like meat on a bone, but honeycomb, jelly and licorice? That sounds like sugar overload!

Blu-ray worked fine on my PS3, although I can only speak for the feature and two of the shorts.

Director's cut was excellent.

watched this last night. Loved it. Beautiful art direction ...

No problems so far with my copy playing on my PS3.
Watched both alt endings No problem.

Havent tried to DL the digital version yet. I'll let you know ... :monkey1

I'm glad you liked it, Nick!

I only wish I could love it as much, but the over-the-top gore cheapens the experience for me. It just feels like they are pandering to the lowest common denominator, rather than going for an intelligent, character-driven story. I know some disagree, but that doesn't change my opinion

Lowest common denominator here!
*high 5* Nick! :rock .....

:wink1:

See, I felt that in comparison to the other horror films that get released as of late, this WAS an intelligent, character-driven story (by today's standards, that is). At least until the ending.

the ending was unexpected, but I liked it.
it completely made me think of Swamp Thing. And my cheesy ass loved it.

The alternate endings:

are pretty lame. They are just two variations of The Wolfman killing Gwen. One in which he bites her, and she shoots him, and they lay dying together. The other in which he bites her, she dies, and he stands to face camera with a wince. That's it.

ooooookay, i'll probably rent this one out to see for myself. thanks for posting. :]

I have yet to try Nick.
I'll let you know when I do. probably be a couple more days.
