yeah dug looks adorable! i have a yellow labrador, so he kinda reminds me of my pup.

"up" is only premiering here 2 weeks from now. arrrrghhh! the wait is killing me!

Well, we tried to see this tonight at 7:10, but when we went about 40 minutes early, it was completely sold out for the rest of the night!! lol

So we got tickets to see it tomorrow morning at 11:25!!!!

The wife & I saw "UP" in 3D last night, and I have to say it is a fantastic movie, one with depth, emotional resonance, action, thrills, and some of the best laughs I have at a movie in years. The opening 10 minutes will have you swallowing hard & fighting back tears. There were several times in the movie during the most poignant parts where, even in a theater full of children, the audience was dead silent with emotion.
The 3D effects were tastefully done, there weren't many gimmick shots per se (if fact, most of the WOW factor was realized in the 3D trailers), but the depth of the image was unreal...at times, objects seemed like they were hanging right in front you in mid air. Some of the wide shots of the South American vistas really highlighted the 3D effect. It's worth noting that the 3D experience was flawless & painless, with no after effects like headache or eye fatigue.
In an era when many studios are rehashing sequels, prequels, reboots, etc, PIXAR again flexes its powerful imagination by sticking with good old story telling know-how and old fashioned values; wringing more emotion out of animated characters than most studios can only dream of using highly paid (and mostly over hyped) actors. Like a couple of the old fellas said toward the end of The Incredibles, "There's no school like old school." As an added bonus, there is a short 3D film called "Partly Cloudy" before the main feature that was also very funny. I paid a total of $14 per ticket & felt like I got my moneys worth, no questions asked.
"UP" is a 4 star movie in my book and easily the best movie of the year, highly recommended!

Very well said! :clap

I saw this on saturday and loved it. TONS better than WALLE. I couldn't stand the political garbage they tried to compact and then shove down your throat in that. This was a fantastic movie though. Enjoyable for both kids and adults. I can't believe how many times I almost cried during this. Totally unexpected! And it was funny too! I loved the dogs especially Dug. I'm sure that is exactly how my dog would talk if he talked. Squirrel!

It's unfair to compare it to WALL-E, they are nothing alike, In my mind they are both masterpieces.

I'm not afraid to admit that I shed several tears during this, you are not human if you don't feel some type of emotion while watching something so touching.

I LOVED Dug, he was one of my favorite things about UP, he reminded me of my doggy. I now speak for him in Dug's voice and I get a big kick out of it.

Hi there!

WALL-E did come across as a little heavy handed, but I can't really say that the point it tried to make is wrong either. But I really liked the story with Wall-E and Eve and all of that.

Good one ****** nozzle. Welcome to the ignore list.

mmmmmmm awesome. when I said "so you can borrow them" I meant for people who were going to see the film in the near future. obviously the film is very emotional, hell the first 15 minutes were choking me up. oh well I'm not going to lose sleep over being on your ignore list friendo

:peace
