Well given the $119 price point for Snake Eyes one must ask this question. How much will Vader cost? Let me be clear as well. I am fine with the price for Snake Eyes. Just curious how much Vader will run. He has more armor but I am guessing less accessories. Obi was $89.99. So anyways enough of me rambling. What are your thoughts? I should be clear that this poll is not about whether you think the prices are justified or not. It is only to gauge what you think the price of this figure will cost.

Wow, I didn't even see Snake Eyes price....$120? Wow. I'll go with $125-135 for Vader then.

I'm guessing the $120 range, or less. He has less armor than Obi-wan, but I'll bet R&D will end up on our shoulders. If I'm underestimating the R&D costs, it'll definitely be where Kit guessed.

I'm thinking $120. He doesnt' come with enough to bring on a price thats higher than that. Look at all the stuff Snake Eyes comes with, new body, and the suit he wears.

I hope between $100-$109. Anymore than that and he better be the definitive 1/6 scale Vader!!!

My thoughts as well. If we are going to pay more than $125 , it should be the definitive Vader set. I can see the Snake Eyes price, it's probably the most accessories ever included with a figure.

Interesting! Well, any estimate I'd make would purely be based on a "gut feeling". Since I don't work in the toy industry, or any other related branch, I have no basis to make a just estimate, and I belive that counts for most of us here. I won't be guessing, as IMO it only gives companies ideas about how much collectors would lay down for specific items, and how far they can push the price. The price one is willing to pay, and the actual price of something, are two different things. Compared to their retailers, Sideshow handles a larger profit margin, so it seams. And as far as I'm concerned, I don't want to pay more than necessary.

Even more interesting would be if we could get a very detailed break down of the cost of a 1/6 scale figure. A chart of some kind, that illustrates precisely how much of the actual cost of making a 1/6 figure goes into research, materials, tailoring, transport, advertising, profit, ... Now that would be interesting. I bet a few of us will be very surprized! Is there anybody here on the board that has this kind of expertise and would like to share?

That would be interesting indeed. R&D costs, parts, labor, ect.

Considering Snake Eyes comes with all this:

I think he'll be around $110...

I hope that he's not too pricey..

I think if we don't get a version with an exclusive, then I'll order him elsewhere...

Customs r expensive...

Yes...

i disagree... i wouldn't doubt that they will price Vader around the $150 marker. and i think Snake Eyes is overpriced. everyone says its because he comes with so many accessories. well so do many of the Hot Toys military, Soldier Story, figures, and they all seem to be cheaper. i've seen some of them go for less than $100. and they come with just as many accessories:

I think he's going to be in the $250, possibly $200 price range.

Reasons:

-People have been waiting a long time for it

-The usual excuse-oil has gone up and he has alot of armor. However Sideshow has also been jacking the price up when the figure has a cloth costume and they talk about the detail as they did with their LOTR and now SW figures. So I think they use either excuse interchangeably in order to justify unjustifiable prices.

-Are they developing a new Prometheus body in a larger size

-Some people will buy anything

I won't pay over $100 for it.
