i really don't have a dog in this hunt as far as money lost to josh but as someone that joined this board for the customs section alone(07') i give props to josh for the encouragement & advice when i had any questions on how to's & pointers. i could always count on solid advice & honest critiques to better my endeavors & for that i will always be thankful. i hate to see that he got himself into the mess he did but i truly hope that he can make it as right as he can with the people that were absolutely shorted. and not to sound sappy but i really hope that the talent of the darkartist can come back to this board some day and contribute in some kind of capacity whether through advice or encouragement or more.

but before that i hope all the freaks that are due compensation get satisfaction or a semblance there of..................:peace

I hate to be the party pooper and don't really want to stir the pot (if it does, it does but I want to get my point across/this off my chest).

You are doing a good thing by saying you are going to make good, little by little and actually refunded kl241 and are sending Maulfan's box. That is truly great and I'm sure we all hope to see this continuing trend. That being said, I am kind of shocked about your first post and just everything else you said. I find it ridiculous that the first words in your first post back here were "first off, you guys are a-holes". Why? Because you owe lots of us things and/or money and to top it all off, we see things in black and white about you purchasing items and having time for other/fun recreational things rather than getting to what you owe all of us? Regardless, you have a long list of people that you owe and we have gotten nothing from you. I think you should have started that in reverse. You have our money and things, not vice versa.

Your new score for the Myers Mask was posted Feb 2010; that was when this whole mess WAS going down. You also said you drove to GA to pick it up, yet no time to go to the Post Office to drop off any of our stuff. Please explain that so i can understand it. Maybe I'm missing something? I'm going by what YOU typed and the mask shown on the forum and of course the date.

Also, I or anyone else had/has no idea you got the supposed $200 Captain America comic (as per YOUR words) for $1. If you did, that's great....though seems unlikely. But again, I cannot know. I usually say if it's too good to be true, it usually is. So I wouldn't bite any of our heads off for us complaining about any of those things since we saw them in black and white (apparantley wthout knowing the circumstances), all while you owe lots of us. In any event, I don't want to beat a dead horse with it (but felt it needed to be said since you felt appropriate to try and turn it around that we are the a-holes and that you did nothing wrong with buying stuff). I just can't see that justifying any one of us as being an a-hole or crazy for complaining and felt I needed to respond to that.

That's great that again you are saying you will chip away at it, little by little. I really hope you do, so you can put this behind you and all of us; all of this will then be moot. For the record, I'm not really angry. Never really was; I actually had faith and was positive about the whole thing until you promised action and there was none on your end. You also buying extra things and having time for other/fun things but not your outstanding orders was also a big factor. Moving forward, Just try and make things right the best you can so we all can come out of this with some sort of satisfaction That is the bottom line.

I understand. I responded harshly, but it was after reading a lot of posts that were accusing me of stuff I never did. Especially when those things were blown out of proportion and only made me look MORE like an A-hole. So I reacted a bit hastily, and I sure as Hell didn't mean that it applied to all those I owed stuff to.

I just want to clarify things on the mask and the comic. The mask was a two part deal. I got the blanks in a trade from the guy who makes them. So that cost me nothing. He traded me an extra blank as well, so I sold that one. I then took the money from that blank and some of my college money to pay for a paintjob. That was already half paid for when I arrived in GA to pick it up, and had in fact been with the artist for several months before I could make it up there. So as the mask may be WORTH $500, I surely did not pay that much for it. And the $200 I paid for the paintjob was paid over a long period, some of which was before everything went to hell.

As for the comic... I have a good relationship with the owner of the shop here. He pays people when they trade in comics, and he knows how much of a vintage Marvel fan I am... so he often lets me take first browse to see if there is anything I want. Back issues are all a buck, no matter what. Sometimes this works in his favor, sometimes not so much. But he likes giving back to the fans, and he has gotten plenty of gems over the years that he doesn't really chase anything anymore (His most recent scores were Avengers 1 at 9.2 grade, and Hulk 180-181 at 9 grade). I've stumbled across many $50-100 comics in those boxes for a buck, and he has always been happy for me to find them. The Cap comic was a bright spot in my bin diving exploits, one that I was fairly proud of... so much that I stupidly posted about it on Facebook. I should have known that people would think that I went and dumped a lot of money to get it, and it would only anger people.. but I was just too damn happy that I scored it. I know it sounds too good to be true, but in this case it really is.

I do appreciate your honesty though, and of those who have helped me to open my eyes a bit and focus on what needs to be done. I truthfully really needed that to help get things back on track here.

I didn't know where else to post this but I just wanted to thank Josh your prompt payment for the exclusive Captain America PF I sold you yesterday. That 700 bucks couldn't have come at a better time. Take care bud.

I kid, I kid....

Josh, I sent you a PM. Please read it when you get the chance and send me a reply. Thank you.

:tap you sold that to me :cuss

.... so does that mean I can send a postage paid box? I didn't see my name mentioned anywhere, and it seems the Joker you were working on wasn't in Carl's shipments.

:wave

Hate to be the one who keeps stirring the pot, but I wanted to check in to see if the package had been mailed. As it was a flat rate Priority Mail box, it should be here no later than Friday, even if it was mailed yesterday.

Thanks!

Craw, I live to make you eat your words. ;)

C'mon, Josh - don't let me down!

More importantly, its the end of week two and we still, as far as I've seen, haven't any shipping info for the items picked up. As Carl is supposed to be moving the 2nd half of the month it doesn't seem to leave much time for shipping.

Hell I have yet to even find out definitively who has my Joker figure, based on what Jen PM'd me it seems it is Josh. :dunno

All I want to do is send along a flat-rate box and be done with this/him. :panic:

Seriously. This time last week, I was hoping we'd seen a turnaround.

At least one person got a refund. But the day's not over... maybe RJMacReady will get his refund before the end of the weekend (Josh said he was next on the list of weekly refunds he was going to make.)
