The tricky part has been balancing out the level of stuffing between the legs and the arms. I looked at tons of photos and it looks like they purposely made the arms look slightly large in comparison to the legs - which gives the suit that cool top-heavy look.

The arms look a little too stuffed in these pics, but the guantlets will further reduce the thickness around the forearms. And the elbow guards when applied will also reduce the front profile of the arms some more.

The other subtle but necessary thing I modified that isn't visible is with the shoulder pieces. The way HT designed them - they have these rather bulky attachments underneath that caused the pieces to sit a little too raised from the figure's shoulders. This made the shoulder armor appear too big.

I removed these attachments and replaced them with thin mini velcro so that the shoulder pieces sit as flushed with the figure's shoulders as much as possible. Giving the shoulders a more realistic front profile.

The velcro also makes applying and removing the shoulder armor a piece of cake compared to before.

Insane attention to detail and ability to make improvements for not only accuracy but functionality as well.

My hat's off to you!

Finally had time to sew on the arms. So the suit proper is pretty much done. It just needs the gauntlets on each forearm - which I'm making out of leather. And elbow guards similar to the shin guards. For the elbow guards I'll have to approach it differently then the shin guards since these need to be more flexible since they sit right where the elbow bends.

I'm also making custom chest, shoulder, and back under-garment that will attach the neck bracket to the suit.

Then it's all about the weathering and then the suit is 100% done.

The arms were a pain to stuff but came out really nice:

Thanks VoidDweller I'm having a hard time narrowing down the right material for the gauntlets. I was going to use some more suede, but it doesn't have the right sheen on the surface. Hopefully I've got enough scrap leather somewhere that works. I also need a good surface that I can glue the studs to. Suede isn't good for that.

The final gauntlets. I ended up using strips of vinyl with two wire rings stitched into each edge. With vinyl I was able to superglue the studs on in the honeycomb pattern. Came out really well.

I still need to weather them out when I weather the other armor pieces later.

Oh, my lord... If it's begging to be displayed on my shelf right now, I can't even imagine how good it'll look with weathering (which HT didn't even do). Great update as usual!
