Your sculpting looks really clean. Do you use Sculpey Firm as it comes, or is it a blend?

Thanks DSD. I use a product called "Magic Sculpt". It's an air-curing two component clay. To smooth the surface I either use an X-acto blade to scrape (when 100% cured) or I'll use a little water when the clay is still soft (applied with a finger or brush). Tin

LOL. Thanks Abake I will probably make casts of the gloves, boots, and head available at some point. But the suit would be difficult since you pretty much have to sew it onto the body in pieces (to make it easier to apply the stuffing underneath).

Oh, my lord... If it's begging to be displayed on my shelf right now, I can't even imagine how good it'll look with weathering (which HT didn't even do). Great update as usual!

HT did weather the armor a bit, but it wasn't anywhere near enough as compared to reference pics from the movie. There should be much more of that whitish sea foam oxydation on the armor. That's what I plan to add. As for the fabric suit - the ones in the movie were absolutely grimey. Like they just came from a coal mine.

I redistributed the stuffing around a little bit to get more poseability. Still pretty good flexibility considering how bulky the suit is. If you look on the ground at his feet you can see the painted custom nozzle attachments for underneath the chest plate.

Just found this thread and wanted to add to the accolades already posted. Amazing job, my friend.

I also went and checked on my Kane and Dallas and both are in fine shape, thankfully. I've got them displayed in a Detolf. I also have an extra Kane which I have on my desk at home and he too is in good shape. I was planning on converting that one to a Lambert at some time in the future...

Can't wait to see more of your work!

Thanks FlyAndFight! I'm pretty sure as long as you have them displayed you're okay. The issues seem to arrive after a long period boxed. And I'm sure climate is a factor too.

I also em tempted to do a Lambert because I actually like her blue suit the most out of the three. We would need a shorter body though.

Nice you got the articulation maintained and vastly improved from the HT versions.

Now how are you gonna do the working 'steam' that's always pumping out of their suits (CO2 excess). You were gonna do that, right? You're not quiting now, are you?

This is what Hot Toys should've made in the first place. I knew the rubber suit was a bad idea and would deteriorate overtime, and HT was capable of better.

No more rubber bodies or suits Hot Toys!
It's the main reason I'm skipping on their excl. Batman figure (they still haven't learned).

Thanks Screamingmetal! When I got the Kane way back - it was such a 50/50 mix of excitement and disappointed. Loved the armor pieces, and really disappointed with the rubber suit. Wasn't expecting that at all. I actually ended up buying an extra months later for cheap and tried to alter the rubber suit. That attempt came out okay, but was still a rubber suit.

So when my only Kane left disintegrated - I had no more option but to make this fabric version.

This is the first photos of the painted and weathered gear mounted onto the color corrected Kane fabric suit. I used "Rit" dye to dye the entire suit light yellow (sand). Then added the white swatch around the forearms afterwards. This color scheme matches Kane's colors from the movie much closer than the white and orange it was before.

I've also weathered the shin guards.

The suit is now 99% done. I just need to make and attach the elbow shin guards to the back of the arms. And then add additional fabric weathering.

Here are some photos. I'm not including shots of the back until the elbow guards are done.
