I recently cancelled my order,

My Dark Counsel waitlist recently converted & Berserker is too big for me to display at the moment

Hopefully someone who really wants this gets it

Not everyone can afford to do that though. July being a heavy month for shipping things. It's gonna be a hard month on alot of people. I have 12 things listed as shipping in July and that's not including this if it converts.

Right now it looks like Blackbeard just may bite the dust.

You beat me to the punch. I really didn't mean to make it sound as though I was taking shots at the Weta Berserker in my previous post. Fact is, it is definitely in the top 15-20 of all my SSW pieces. However, that being said, as much as I do like it, I personally don't think it's in the same league as the SS Berserker, the SS version simply being so incredibly good. If sculptor Martin Canale of the Gore Group, was attempting to portray the Berserker as a crazed warrior, single-minded in thought, savage, ruthless, and unmerciful then he has suceeded in spectacular fashion. That is exactly what they were in PJ's vision and I don't personally think for a second it is an over the top rendition.
And let's face it, when was the last time a LOTR item was able to reach across collecting lines the way this one has. I find it absolutely amazing that not only is this the most anticipated LOTR piece of the year, it is the most anticipated PF across all collecting lines. People who don't even collect LOTR have ordered this one, it's appeal is universal. And that is something the SSW version never has been or will be.
But, at the end of the day it all comes down to personal taste. There are those who prefer the SSW version and their arguements are as legitimate and valid as those who prefer the SS version.

My heart will always belong to Lurtz.

This guy is bad ass though....still haven't decided if I'm going to keep my Exc. pre-order or not....I'm also getting the 1:1 Endo bust - which I'm more excited about and display space is also an issue. We will see. I do like it a lot....but it may be too gory for me. NEVER thought I would say that! That's what makes him so bad ass, I know. Just really on the fence with this one....which I will say puzzles me.

$125 for Weta Berserker
$299 for SS Berserker

Why cant we simply have both?

I could almost GUARANTEE that everyone on this board has multiple representations of the characters they collect in different scales/poses/sculpts, so why is this any different? Dont think of them as rival pieces, think of them as friends!

yes I completely get what your saying, but by doing this sideshow can get a wider audiance other than just appealing to lotr fans, it appeals to anyone who likes monsters etc and also cause of the sheer badassness (i made a word ) of the sulpt.

I got a bunch of email arrival notices this week but none of them even fazed me to tell you the truth. The only one that I'm waiting for and is going to get me excited is the Berserker. Just hurry already.

I just got on the waitlist today for the EX. I'm not holding my breath but it sure would be badass if it converted... Especially since I don't own anything LOTR yet..
