I think each piece is phenominal, and what is really cool about the weta piece is that is what came from the actual people working on the movie.

I can understand that someone likes both Weta and Sideshow pieces...even if you like the first one the most...But to say This

is not BETTER than this

is completely pointless

i have the original weta and love it but it's not a 1/4 scale piece. i might keep the weta 'serker and display them together.

Maybe It would make sense if you really read what has been said instead of calling me unfair. I say There is no point in saying that one piece is or is not better than the other one...they're different...but if you find or understand it...(the point)

My Dark Counsel waitlist recently converted & Berserker is too big for me to display at the moment

Hopefully someone who really wants this gets it

OK, let me make it clear. I like both of them, yes the SS zerker looks very cool, but IN MY OPINION they've glorified it and turned it into some sort of zerker hybrid. I DO like them both, but i prefer the Weta statue. If that opinion of mine is pointless then i cannot help it.

yes I completely get what your saying, but by doing this sideshow can get a wider audiance other than just appealing to lotr fans, it appeals to anyone who likes monsters etc and also cause of the sheer badassness (i made a word ) of the sulpt.

You beat me to the punch. I really didn't mean to make it sound as though I was taking shots at the Weta Berserker in my previous post. Fact is, it is definitely in the top 15-20 of all my SSW pieces. However, that being said, as much as I do like it, I personally don't think it's in the same league as the SS Berserker, the SS version simply being so incredibly good. If sculptor Martin Canale of the Gore Group, was attempting to portray the Berserker as a crazed warrior, single-minded in thought, savage, ruthless, and unmerciful then he has suceeded in spectacular fashion. That is exactly what they were in PJ's vision and I don't personally think for a second it is an over the top rendition.
And let's face it, when was the last time a LOTR item was able to reach across collecting lines the way this one has. I find it absolutely amazing that not only is this the most anticipated LOTR piece of the year, it is the most anticipated PF across all collecting lines. People who don't even collect LOTR have ordered this one, it's appeal is universal. And that is something the SSW version never has been or will be.
But, at the end of the day it all comes down to personal taste. There are those who prefer the SSW version and their arguements are as legitimate and valid as those who prefer the SS version.
