Looks pretty much the same to me... of course the lighting is different.
Looks like they have changed the axe thingy, the first one looked curved, whereas this new one looks dead straight. I cant really tell if the new one is as bloody as the first one.
Personally i like the look of the first one better... just looks 'grittier'.
The paint job on the EX severed head looks a bit cleaner on these new pics also, but maybe its just my eyes playing tricks.
I really like how they included a dagger on the base, never knew that was there.
Still i love it and cant wait for mine.....

You're allowed your opinion, but just because this is in fashion because it's the latest thing to come out, still doesn't make it better. I love the Weta statue and it was never meant to be as 'flashy' as this is, it is just meant to be a representation of the character, and it does it very well without having to have it holding a severed head or having a rippling six pack.
Believe me, Weta know what they're doing with their own creations. This is just a flashy imitation.
Money and value mean nothing to me over a good item, and i would never look twice at this PF.

Sorry, but this is not popular just because it's something new. I'm not sure where you got that idea from.

It's popular because it's an amazing sculpt with what looks like an amazing paint job.

This thing is the definition of bad ass!

I think the Weta piece looks very good but, the PF is on a whole new level.
1:4 scale, more detail, 1:4 scale, mixed media, 1:4 scale, more elaborate museum styled base and did I say it's 1:4 scale!!!
