I have to admit, although irrelevant to the thread, a Medieval Kurgan would be pretty damn cool. But does Sideshow even still have the Highlander license? And after Highlander: The Source, who'd even want it? That movie blew harder than a bad case of the Tijuana squirts!

You could probably buy the license back for them for $0.50 on ebaY!

Presumably, back when they showed off the armor with Obi-Wan, they showed a black body suit for regular Clones, I assume they'll reuse the same method just in black material, not brown, and I'm sure that's why in much of the lighting, the ribbing doesn't show if it's printed on and not stitched as we're hearing with Obi-Wan, it probably comes out even more subtle on the black material.

Obi-Wan's is black as well. It is just the neck piece that is brown.

Unless they alter the chin and aerator portion it will definitely be inaccurate for Cody, Bly, Gree, et al.

Apparently there is some anomaly with the 212th/Utapau helmet design in that area that no one noticed before. Either that or SSC didn't get it quite right and LFL didn't notice.

Whatever... I still ordered one.

Seriously, though, how the further Clone helmets turn out will surely tell the true tale. I am personally doubtful about this notion that the Utapau helmets are somehow different, but I'll go with giving the benefit of the doubt now. If Shatterer of Dreams says it looks "exactly" like the reference photo they were given by LFL, then I have no choice but to take him at his word. And us "nit-pickers" can accept it... as along as SSC realizes that it would be inaccurate if they also intend to use this exact same sculpt for the rest of the EP3 trooper helmets. There is certainly no lack of reference images (both official LFL released ones and screen captures) of most of the other EP3 Troopers.

Well, it's SSC's responsibility. It's up to them if they want the inaccuracy of the helmets to remain a footnote eternally linked to their clones. I like this figure, but even without the reference material I saw that there was something wrong with the helmet. And I'll continue see it. But, hey, I ordered the figure, so, as far as SSC is concerned, it's mission accomplished!

Let's not forget: it's only a toy!!! The world will continue to turn.

BTW: LOW QUANTITY ALERT on the exclusive. Only 50 left of the total edition, what ever it may be (TBD). I like the exclusive base. Good idea.

WOW, even IrishJedi has plead "no contest." But some people just won't give it up, despite the fact that Sideshow says it matches the LucasFilm source material for the Utapau trooper... I guess you'll just have to select the NIN playlist on your iPod, have a good cry and get over it.
