Well again all I can say is we do what LFL tells us to do. If they want their products to be wrong then there is nothing we can do about it but maybe they have their reasons.

I'd like to see the difference for myself.

All I really care about is the ANH Stromtroopers, so PT clones don't matter much to me. But if it's something that's gonna shake down the whole PT line of future clone troopers I'd love to know what it is.

So me thinking the action figure looks completely acceptable makes me an apologist just because I'm not belittling them and nitpicking the hell out of minute differences by being an anal retentive, overcritical prick? And most people are comfortable dealing with serious situations and moving beyond them without having to get all EMO about it. The dwellers are the ones with the unhealthy psyche.

And, Shatterer of Dreams, trust me I know that LFL dictates stuff and that you guys often have to make frustrating changes (12" Mace Windu, Vader PF, etc.) but in this case it seems more likely that they just didn't catch this on their end either.

Ahhh, OK, I see it.

It's pinched at the "vocoder" -- and square instead of six-sided.

And the "aerator" tube is flattened and not as rounded as the middle pic shows. This bothers me MUCH more than the vocoder thing.

I wonder how noticeable this is in-hand?

Also, pay attention to the shape of the area underneath both aerators. In the movie (and reference pics) it almost makes a "w" shape, whereas on the SSC prototype it comes more straight-across... and the aerators are closer together.

Just be a little kinder guys our artists work very hard and it's not always a good thing for people to slam someone's work. I'm not saying don't say anything just be more constructive about - this is not aimed at anyone in particular this is a message to all.

Personally, that's not where I am coming from. I know there are tons of extremely talented folks there at Sideshow. This inaccuracy is not an indictment on them or SSC as a whole at all. No one is perfect. Stuff happens. I'm just helping to try and point it out in the off-chance it can be fixed (or at least rectified before future EP3 Clones are made).

Trust me, if you guys had made a helmet with the exact same shapes and scaled dimensions as the reference pics/movie LFL would have approved it (well, in theory). Afterall, they did so for Kotobukiya, Medicom, Hasbro, and Gentle Giant.

Yep. And each aerator is completely round...without the flattened shaped top. The aerators and the tubing around the neck now really bugs me. Thanks guys.

Anyway, I do see what everyone is talking about now. And I do agree it's probably an oversight on everyone's part -- LFL and SS. I doubt there were several helmets presented for choice. Just this one, and it got approved.

But maybe it looks better in hand?

Or maybe SS will make adjustments like HT does before it ships.

I preordered this on impulse. Likely I'll cancel it, unless it gets fixed. I'm not a huge fan of PT clones, so for me to want this on my shelf it would have to be a highly accurate version....and now all I see if the off bits. Damn you guys.

Yeah, its off. Which stinks but overall when its on the shelf I doubt I even care nor anyone outside of a small group of very attentive SW fans notice.

Whenever you're dealing with a prototype things can change until we post the final pictures.
