okedokey first off we have newer multipart saber hilt, i found the older design was a pig to cast and the failure rate was too high, so broke the saber down into some bits, the central core and the grips...

The ROTS im making for mooncat uses a fair amount of parts from the kotobukiya ROTS vader, the helmets been removed hollowed, the top cut off, new detailed crown grafted on, new 'eyes' (wasnt happy with the profile of the kotos), brassed etched details onto the brow, all extra details cut from a casted OT helmet.Mold made, casted helmets been thinned down internally, awaiting FULL mask internal details, firstly however was sculpting the inner 'padding' or non slip shelf matting (im guessing at the original props insides)

HT true type 38 body was the base and is the base for the HT bodied vaders with one exception...with cocoboloboys original modifications in mind ive reworked the HT body adding height and bulk, and this is the result...the Ht body gives great articulation and a great double jointed neck, nick hand pegs which are less fiddly than sideshows ones.

Entropy chickens vader offered new problems, he asked for interchageable sculpts, easy enough using neomydium magnets, but these effected the voice circuitry in the upper torso, so this had to be moved, the voice function is from the obi wan/vader hasbro electronic set, so ANH phrases are in place. He asked for the pale look for the evil Sen shaw sculpt...

i flet as the heads were to be removable a more comprehensive internal detailing was needed for the lower section of the helmet, see WIP here..

Wow! That looks so fantastic! So awesome to finally see him. I can't stop staring at the pics :rock

Once again you have gone above and beyond in your detail work. This is why you are the master! :bow

The HT true type and RotS helmet also impressive, most impressive. I'd love to see a naked pic of the reworked body at some point.

You just keep topping yourself over and over again! Beautiful work, mate!

I actually feel like a kid again, caught myself rubbing my hands and swaying from side to side when I saw those progress shots :)

Didnt realise Glenn you were actually taking on tailored commisions (eg someones asking for hot swappable headsculpts and synthesised exerpts from the movie etc.)

Thought you had a set Vader for each film and that was that ! rather than the bespoke work you seem to be doing !

No wonder they take as long as they do

BTW is that gorgeous hunk of a man ? you ?

Since Glenn took these on as commissions rather than having ready made Vaders he's able to tweak and create each as a one-of-a-kind, be they regular vaders, regs with cathode sabers, deluxes with and without voice function and even swapable heads. :D

I went with the ESB costume as it's the best film, and overall the most iconic version of vader's costume I think. But I went with the low rise RotJ style reveal helmet as it's how I've always thought of Vader with his helmet off and it shows a bit more of the headsculpt rather than the ESB mask with the cut on the upper pipe. Add the ANH voice function, as I didn't want the redeemed RotJ voice chip, and the crispy RotS Anakin head and it's a bit of a mashup from all Vaders.

I floated the thought of a swapable head to Glenn and he rose to the challenge and created another fantastic Vader. The lower detailing inside the mask was a jaw dropping surprise to me. So cool! Can't wait to pics of the finished helmet detailing. :chew
